Sir Mark James Todd is a New Zealand horseman noted for his accomplishments in the discipline of eventing, voted Rider of the 20th century by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports.
Sir Gordon Frederick Tietjens is head coach of the Samoa rugby sevens team, and a celebrated former coach of the New Zealand men's national team in rugby sevens, the All Blacks Sevens. When the International Rugby Board inducted him into the IRB Hall of Fame in May 2012, it said that "Tietjens' roll of honour is without peer in Sevens, and perhaps in the Game of Rugby as a whole." According to Spiro Zavos, Tietjens is "The greatest of all the Sevens coaches".
Nicholas Ian Willis is a New Zealand middle distance runner and the country's only two-time Olympic medalist in the 1500 metres. He won the silver medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and bronze at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. His other achievements over the same distance include the national and Oceania record (3:29.66), and medals from three consecutive Commonwealth Games.
Liam Justin Messam is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays in Super Rugby for the Chiefs, for whom he is the most-capped player in history, and for Waikato in the ITM Cup. Messam predominantly plays as a blindside flanker but can fill in at Number 8 as well as openside flanker. After the retirement of then Chiefs captain Mils Muliaina, Messam was named the team's new co-captain from 2012 onwards, alongside Aaron Cruden.
Jodi Anne Brown is a retired New Zealand netball player. Brown was a member of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns from 2002 to 2015, taking time off in between those periods due to injury and pregnancy, earning 61 caps. She has also played elite domestic netball in New Zealand for 13 years, and has signed with the Southern Steel for 2014. She played for the Central Pulse in 2015 and was getting set to play her final season in 2016 before she injured her ACL in the preseason and decided to retire from domestic netball after she had retired from international netball in 2015. In 2015, Jodi began co-coaching at St Hilda’s Collegiate, Dunedin with the year nine A team. She has since followed this team through the years, which included a devastating 1 point loss in the SISS final. In 2018, Brown coached the St Hilda’s Senior A team and also coached the Dunedin U17 team to 11th place at Nationals.

Sophie Frances Pascoe is a New Zealand para-swimmer. She has represented New Zealand at three Summer Paralympic Games from 2008, winning a total of nine gold medals and six silver medals, making her New Zealand's most successful Paralympian. She also went to the Commonwealth Games to represent New Zealand.
Kurt Thomas Baker is a New Zealand rugby union player. He plays in the fullback, wing and at centre positions for Manawatu in the Mitre 10 Cup. He played for the Māori All Blacks and was a New Zealand Sevens representative, having played in 22 Sevens World Series tournaments, a Rugby Sevens World Cup and featured in Gordon Tietjens squad to take part at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Lance Revill is the former president of the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association (NZPBA), a New Zealand boxing promoter, referee, and a former New Zealand professional boxer. Revill compiled a professional record of 21 wins and 13 losses, with 13 knockouts, in light heavyweight bouts fought in New Zealand and Australia between 1974 and 1990.
Hamish Bryon Bond is a New Zealand rower and double Olympic gold medallist at the 2012 London Olympic Games and at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. He has won seven consecutive World Rowing Championships gold medals in the coxless pair and has set two world best times in the coxless and coxed pair. He made a successful transition from rowing to road cycling after the 2016 Summer Olympics focussing on the road time trial.
Nathan Phillip Cohen is a New Zealand rower. He is a two-time world champion, and won a gold medal in the Olympics. In 2006, rowing a single scull, he won a gold medal at the World University Games. In doing so, he became the first New Zealander to win a gold medal at the World University Games in any sport. Cohen and his rowing partner, Joseph Sullivan, won back-to-back gold medals in the men's double sculls at both the 2010 and 2011 World Rowing Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he and his partner won the gold medal in the men's double sculls, after breaking the Olympic best time in the heats. In 2013, Cohen was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to rowing.
Anton Cooper is a New Zealand cross-country cyclist who races for the Trek Factory Racing XC Team. He is the 2015 World Under 23 Cross-country Mountain bike champion and the 2012 World Junior Cross-country Mountain bike champion. One of the two contenders for the country's 2016 Summer Olympics quota spot, he developed chronic fatigue earlier in 2016 and the nomination went to Sam Gaze instead.
Nikita Stevie Howarth is a New Zealand para-cyclist and former para-swimmer. She became New Zealand's youngest ever Paralympian after being selected for the 2012 Summer Paralympics, aged 13 years 8 months. She again represented New Zealand at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, where she won the gold medal in the women's 200 metre individual medley SM7 and the bronze medal in the women's 50 metre butterfly S7.

Ethan Rusbatch is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the Hawke's Bay Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). A former captain of the New Zealand under 18 team, Rusbatch began his NBL career in 2012 with the Southland Sharks after spending one season in the United States playing college basketball for Lincoln Trail College. As a junior, he represented Canterbury in all age groups, winning national titles in 2009 and 2011. He spent four seasons playing for the Canterbury Rams between 2014 and 2017, before joining the Hawke's Bay Hawks in 2018.
New Zealand competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, from 4 to 15 April 2018. It was the nations’s 21st appearance at the Commonwealth Games, having competed at every Games since their inception in 1930. The New Zealand team consisted of 251 athletes, 130 men and 121 women, across 17 sports.
Asasio Lolofakangalo Heimuli, commonly known as Lolo Heimuli, is a professional coach in kickboxing, boxing and mixed martial arts active in New Zealand. In the past he has coached many notable people including Mark Hunt (MMA), Shane Cameron (Boxing), Ray Sefo and many more. Heimuli fought in Mauy Thai and Amateur Boxing before becoming a coach, however, retired as a competitor in 1990 after a KO win over Narungsak of Thailand. Heimuli trained under Manukau Boxing gym with Jerry Preston and Ponsonby Lee Institute under Alf Pivac before becoming a coach. As a kickboxing coach, his boxers have won over 80 regional and world kickboxing titles. Heimuli currently owns his own gym in Auckland CBD called Balmoral Lee Gar. Heimuli used to be the head coach of City Boxing gym.
Ting Chen also known as Kyle Chen, is an amateur boxer residing from New Zealand. Chen has competed in New Zealand, Taiwan, Australia, Junior World Championship in Russia and Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas. Chen's most notable title is winning a bronze medal at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games.
Shea Ili is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). Ili was raised in Mangere Bridge, playing his basketball at Onehunga High School and appearing for Counties Manukau in rep teams before appearing in the New Zealand NBL with the Auckland Pirates in 2012. In 2014, he joined the New Zealand Breakers as a development player. That season, he was a member of the Breakers' championship-winning team. In 2016, he was elevated to the Breakers' full-time roster, and in February 2018, he was named the NBL Most Improved Player for the 2017–18 season.
Patrick Pakuliki Mailata is a New Zealand professional boxer who has competed since 2018 in the heavyweight weight class. In his amateur career, he represented the Papatoetoe Boxing Club and was a three-time New Zealand national elite championship winner from 2012 to 2014 and a Commonwealth Games bronze medalist.
