Chris Whiteside

Christopher Julian Whiteside (12 August 1953 - 11 September 2022) was an English cricketer.

Whiteside was educated at Warwick School. He was a highly promising and tall right-arm bowler and right-handed batsman who played once for Middlesex in the Sunday League versus Hampshire at Lord's in 1975. [1] He failed to take a wicket or score any runs as Middlesex slipped to defeat. His progress was halted by a back injury, but he later played in club cricket.

Hampshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Hampshire. Hampshire teams formed by earlier organisations, principally the Hambledon Club, always had first-class status and the same applied to the county club when it was founded in 1863. Because of poor performances for several seasons until 1885, Hampshire then lost its status for nine seasons until it was invited into the County Championship in 1895, since when the team have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. Hampshire originally played at the Antelope Ground, Southampton until 1885 when they relocated to the County Ground, Southampton until 2000, before moving to the purpose-built Rose Bowl in West End, which is in the Borough of Eastleigh. The club has twice won the County Championship, in the 1961 and 1973 seasons.

Christopher David Whelan is an English first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler, who has represented Middlesex and Worcestershire. He came through the ranks at Sefton Park CC, taking a 1st XI hat-trick at Lytham aged 16, and scored a record 177 not out for his school, St Margaret's, in an under-15 final.

Christopher Julian Clement Wright is an English cricketer. During his school years, he was a regular in Hampshire's youth teams, and played for the Liphook and Ripsley Cricket Club.

The Second XI Championship is a season-long cricket competition in England that is competed for by the reserve teams of those county cricket clubs that have first-class status. The competition started in 1959 and has been contested annually ever since.

Having played for Otago and Auckland in New Zealand domestic cricket, Fuller played for Gloucestershire (2011-2015) and Middlesex (2016-2018). He signed a two-year contract with Hampshire on 4 October 2018.

Brunton Memorial Ground is a cricket ground at Radlett in Hertfordshire. The ground is the home of Radlett Cricket Club and, since 2013, has been used as an outground by Middlesex County Cricket Club. Bradley Thomas James Wheal is a cricketer who plays for Hampshire and has been called up to represent Scotland. He is a right-handed fast medium bowler who bats right-handed. He made his One Day International debut for Scotland against the Hong Kong in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 26 January 2016. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Scotland against Hong Kong on 30 January 2016.

Robert George White is an English cricketer who plays for Middlesex County Cricket Club. A wicket-keeper, who is a right-handed batsman, who also bowls right-arm medium pace. He made his first-class debut for Loughborough MCC University against Hampshire County Cricket Club in April 2015. He made his List A debut for Middlesex against Australia on 9 June 2018, during Australia's tour of England.

The 2021 County Championship was the 121st cricket County Championship season in England and Wales. For the first phase of the tournament, the teams were split into three groups of six, with each side playing ten matches. The top two teams from each group progressed into Division One for the second phase of the competition, with the other teams progressing to Divisions Two and Three. The team that finished top of Division One became the county champions; and the top two teams from Division One contested a five-day match at Lord's for the Bob Willis Trophy. On 17 December 2020, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. After completion of the group stage on 14 July 2021, the ECB confirmed the fixtures for the division stage on 22 July 2021.
