Christen Industries was an American aircraft manufacturer based in Hollister, California and Afton, Wyoming.
Founded in 1972, the company was created to manufacture the Christen Eagle, designed by Frank L. Christensen after he was unable to acquire the design rights to the Pitts Special. [1] Later that year, a three-man team from the company became the first American team to win the world aerobatic championship. [2] In 1983, the company announced that it acquired the design rights of the Laser 200 designed by Leo Loudenslager. [3]
In 1982, the company acquired Aerotek, moved to Afton, Wyoming and continued production of the Pitts Special alongside the Christen Eagle II kits. [4] [5] The company then designed and manufactured the Christen Husky A-1 utility aircraft. In 1990, the company was the subject of a lawsuit claiming that the design of their aircraft was responsible for the death of a pilot. [6] Christen Industries was, in turn, bought by Aviat Aircraft, Inc. in 1991, who continued both product lines. [7] [8]

The Call Aircraft Company was established by Reuel Call in 1939 at Afton, Wyoming to build a touring aircraft of his own design.

The Pitts biplanes dominated world aerobatic competition in the 1960s and 1970s and, even today, remain potent competition aircraft in the lower categories.

The Star Valley Wyoming Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Star Valley, Wyoming. The temple was opened in 2016. The intent to build the temple was announced by church president Thomas S. Monson on October 1, 2011. The temple was announced concurrently with the Barranquilla Colombia, Durban South Africa, Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Provo City Center temples. When announced, the total number of temples worldwide increased to 166. When dedicated in 2016, it became the 154th temple of the church in operation. This is the first temple in Wyoming.

It is owned by Coastal Television Broadcasting Company LLC, which provides certain services to ABC affiliate KTWO-TV and CBS affiliate KGWC-TV under separate shared services agreements (SSAs). The stations share studios on Skyview Drive in Casper, while KFNB's transmitter is located atop Casper Mountain south of the city. Satellite stations at Rawlins and Riverton and a translator in Douglas extend KFNB's signal. Most of its programming is also rebroadcast on KLWY in Cheyenne, which airs separate station identifications and commercials.
A general election was held in the U.S. state of Wyoming on Tuesday, November 5, 1946. All of the state's executive officers—the governor, secretary of state, auditor, treasurer, and superintendent of public instruction—were up for election. The election was largely a rout for the Republican Party. Though Democratic governor Lester C. Hunt was narrowly re-elected, Democrats lost their two other state offices: auditor and secretary of State. Moreover, they were unable to win back any other state offices.
