Christian Del Bianco (born August 31, 1997) is a Canadian professional lacrosse goaltender playing for the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). [1] [2] Drafted 15th overall in the second round in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft, he has played his entire NLL career in Calgary. In November 2022, he was re-signed for two more years to the end of the 2024 NLL season. [3]
Del Bianco was named to the NLL All-League 2nd Team in 2019. [4] Heading into the 2023 NLL season, Inside Lacrosse named Del Bianco the #5 best goalie in the NLL. [5]
Del Bianco was named the 2023 NLL Goalie of the Year and MVP, having set a league record for most minutes played by a goalie in a season, and leading the Roughnecks to their highest win total in club history. [6] Del Bianco is just the second goalie to win NLL MVP, after Steve Dietrich in 2006, and the third non-forward to win the award, following Dietrich and transition player Jeff Shattler in 2011. [7]

The National Lacrosse League Most Valuable Player Award is given annually to the NLL player who is considered to have contributed most to his team's success. The award winners are chosen by a vote of the league's coaches, general managers, and executives.
Steve "Chugger" Dietrich is the General Manager of the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League. Dietrich is also a NLL Hall of Fame goaltender who has played with the Calgary Roughnecks, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Knighthawks, Detroit Turbos, Baltimore Thunder, and Toronto Rock.

Brett Dobson is a Canadian lacrosse goalie for the Archers Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, and as well for the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League. He is also a member of the Canada men's national lacrosse team. He represented Team Canada at the 2022 World Games Championship in Birmingham, Alabama, winning the gold medal.
