Christian Eggen (born 8 January 1957) is a Norwegian composer, pianist and conductor. [1]

Nils Arne Eggen was a Norwegian footballer, manager and teacher from Orkdal. Eggen was closely tied to Rosenborg, the club he managed for 23 years between 1970 and 2010. He is Norway's most successful club manager throughout history, having won the Norwegian top division fifteen times and the Norwegian Football Cup six times as a manager. Eggen's tactical emphasis was on playing 4-3-3 and attacking football and his way of playing football has frequently been cited as an inspiration among players, coaches and clubs alike, both domestically and abroad. In his native Trøndelag, Eggen is revered and widely regarded as the greatest and most influential sports person in the region, even eclipsing Olympic champions such as Hjalmar Andersen and Petter Northug.

Gjermund Eggen was a Norwegian cross-country skier who won three gold medals at the 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. The championships were held in Oslo in conjunction with the Holmenkollen ski festival, and so Eggen's medals also counted as Holmenkollen victories. He was awarded the Holmenkollen medal in 1968. He competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics in the 30 km event, but finished only 34th. Eggen died in Elverum at age 77.
Stod is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway. The 275-square-kilometre (106 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1964. It originally encompassed the northern part of what is now the municipality of Steinkjer, stretching from the town of Steinkjer to the northeast, along the lake Snåsavatnet, to the municipal border with Snåsa. Over time, however, the municipality was reduced in size to just a fraction of its original size, leaving just the area between the Snåsavatnet in the north to the Ogndal valley in the south. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Binde. The main church for Stod was For Church, located just south of the administrative center. The local sports team is Stod IL.
