The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. It was founded in Scheveningen, Netherlands, in July 1892, making it one of the oldest international sport federations. The ISU was formed to establish standardized international rules and regulations for the skating disciplines it governs, and to organize international competitions in these disciplines. It is now based in Switzerland.
Anna Levandi, née Kondrashova, is a Russian competitive figure skater who represented the former Soviet Union in international competition. She was the 1984 World silver medalist and four-time European bronze medalist. She competed at two Winter Olympic Games.
The Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (4CC) is an annual figure skating competition. The Finlandia Trophy is a senior-level international figure skating competition. Since 1995, it is held annually in Finland in Greater Helsinki region, including Helsinki, Vantaa, and Espoo. It became part of the ISU Challenger Series in the 2014–15 season. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating, although not every discipline is included every year.
Pascal Denis is a Canadian former ice dancer. He competed with partner Josée Piché for 17 years, winning a bronze medal at the 2000 Canadian Figure Skating Championships and finishing 23rd at the 2004 World Figure Skating Championships, their final competition together. Denis later skated with Martine Patenaude.
The Triglav Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition held in the spring in Jesenice, Slovenia. The competition takes its name from the nearby mountain Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia.
Hristo Turlakov is a Bulgarian former competitive figure skater. Competing as a single skater, he appeared at six European Championships. His highest placement was 21st in 2003.
The Golden Bear is an ISU annual international and inter-club figure skating competition held in Zagreb, Croatia. Held since 1986, the event is organized by the Medveščak figure skating club. It is the equivalent of the Golden Spin of Zagreb intended for Junior and Novice skaters, as well as skaters below the Novice level. In 2012, senior-level events were added. Skaters may compete in three disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, and pair skating.
Michael Christian "Mikee" Martinez is a Filipino Olympic figure skater. He is the 2015 Asian Figure Skating Trophy champion, a two-time Triglav Trophy champion and has won one ISU Challenger Series medal, silver at the 2014 Warsaw Cup. Martinez is the first skater from Southeast Asia and from a tropical country to qualify for the Olympics, was the only athlete to represent the Philippines at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and was one of only two to represent the Philippines at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The 2017 European Figure Skating Championships were held 25–29 January 2017 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing.
The 2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held from 14–20 March 2016 in Debrecen, Hungary. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
Alexei Dmitriyevich Krasnozhon is a Russian-American former competitive figure skater. Competing for the United States, he is the 2017 CS Tallinn Trophy silver medalist, 2017 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and 2017 U.S. national junior champion. Krasnozhon skated for Russia earlier in his career, making his last international appearance in December 2013.

Kristen Spours is an English figure skater. She has won five senior international medals and competed in the final segment at three World Junior Championships.
The ISU World Standings and Season's World Ranking are the objective merit-based method used by the International Skating Union (ISU) for single & pair skating and ice dance, as well as synchronized skating. Only eligible skaters/teams will be considered in the ISU World Standings and Season's World Ranking.
