Christiane Hammacher

Christiane Hammacher (born 1939 in Mannheim, Germany) is a German actress, who has performed on the German stage and on television. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Life and career

In 2003, Hammacher married fellow actor Gunnar Möller, [6] with whom she had performed in "Loriots Dramatische Werke" ("Loriot's Dramatic Works") at Frankfurt's Fritz Rémond Theater and on tour during the 1980s. [7] [8]

While performing in Mr. and Mrs. Nobel in Hamburg in 2015 and at the Fritz Rémond Theater in Frankfurt 2016, Hammacher played the role of Austrian pacifist Bertha von Suttner, the second woman to be named a Nobel laureate and the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. [9] [10] [11]

Hammacher was preceded death by her husband, who died in Berlin in May 2017. [12]

Gunnar Möller was a German television and film actor. He appeared in over 160 film and television productions between 1940 and 2016. He was most successful as a leading man in German cinema of the 1950s, especially with his role in I Often Think of Piroschka (1955) with Liselotte Pulver. He later turned to character roles and worked for a number of years in England, including the supporting role of Hans van Broecken in World War II drama series Secret Army.

He managed the Schauspiel Frankfurt from 1985 to 1990. Rühle was a member of the PEN-Zentrum Deutschland. From 1993 to 1999, he was president of the Deutsche Akademie der Darstellenden Künste in Frankfurt. He published books about the history of theatre in Germany, and its criticism.

Domen Križaj is a Slovenian operatic baritone who has performed internationally, based in Germany. As a member of the Oper Frankfurt, he has appeared in major roles including Mozart's Papageno, Albert in Massenet's Werther, and the Count in Capriccio by Richard Strauss.
