Christopher Rajendran Hyman CBE (born 5 July 1963) [1] is a South African businessman. He was chief executive (CEO) of Serco Group from 2002 to October 2013. [2]
On graduation, he worked for Arthur Andersen. In 1989, he won an 18-month exchange with Ernst & Young in London, who employed him after four months. [1] headhunted in 1994 by Serco, Hyman became European finance director, and in 1999 was made group finance director. In 2002, Hyman became chief executive.
Hyman was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2010 Birthday Honours for services to business and charity. [3]
Hyman resigned from his role of CEO of Serco in October 2013 following allegations that Serco had overcharged government customers. [4]
Hyman is a motor racing fan and has competed in the Formula Palmer Audi series [5] and the FIA GT3 European Championship. [6]
Married to fellow South African Lianne, the couple have two children. [1] His son Raoul is also a racing driver. [7] He was on the 47th floor of the World Trade Center at the time of the September 11 attacks in 2001. [8]

He is a grandson of Winston Churchill, a nephew of one-time Defence Secretary Duncan Sandys and his wife Diana Churchill, of journalist Randolph Churchill, and of actress and dancer Sarah Churchill. His brother is Conservative Party politician Nicholas Soames, Baron Soames of Fletching.
The 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship was the inaugural FIA GT1 World Championship, a motor racing competition reserved for FIA GT1 cars. The championship was a replacement for the FIA GT Championship which had been held annually from 1997 to 2009. Hexis Racing is an auto racing team based in Lédenon, France. Hexis Racing was founded by Michel Mateu, CEO of Hexis S.A. in 2001, initially for participation in the French Formula Renault Championship. Hexis later moved into grand tourer racing in 2005, participating in the FFSA GT Championship before joining the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2007. Hexis Racing has further expanded, now supporting Aston Martin Racing in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship season. The team is currently managed by Clément Mateu and Philippe Dumas.
Andrew Charles Palmer is an English automotive executive and engineer. He has been described as the 'Godfather of EVs' due to his work launching the Nissan Leaf in 2010 whilst COO at the Japanese company. Palmer is also known for launching Aston Martin's first SUV, the DBX, and first mid-engined sports car, Valkyrie, during his tenure as CEO from 2014 to 2020. Palmer was previously CEO and Executive Vice-chairman of electric bus and van company, Switch. He resigned from this role in 2022. Group GT3, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars and commonly referred to as simply GT3, is a set of regulations maintained by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for grand tourer racing cars designed for use in various auto racing series throughout the world. The GT3 category was initially created in 2005 by the SRO Group as a third rung in the ladder of grand touring motorsport, below the Group GT1 and Group GT2 categories which were utilized in the SRO's FIA GT Championship, and launched its own series in 2006 called the FIA GT3 European Championship. Since then, Group GT3 has expanded to become the de facto category for many national and international grand touring series, although some series modify the ruleset from the FIA standard. By 2013, nearly 20 automobile manufacturers have built or been represented with GT3 machines.
