Chum Darang is an Indian model, actress, social activist and entrepreneur from Pasighat of Arunachal Pradesh. She has won various beauty pageants. [1]

Chum has a family of 6, her parents (Tajeep Darang and Yamik Dulom Darang) and 3 siblings, 2 younger brothers ( Tabit Darang and Ninong Darang) and 1 elder sister (Mitu Darang). She also successfully runs her own cafe called 'Cafe Chu' in Pasighat. She played a small role in the series, Paatal Lok . Darang is a social activist and was recognized by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh for her work.[ citation needed ]

Beauty pageants

Darang's interest in beauty pageants started in 2007 when she was just 16 and a major turning point was her winning Miss AAPSU 2010. [2] She later participated in various National and International beauty contests. She was one of the finalists of North East Diva 2014 [3] and was the second Runner up at Miss Himalaya 2015. [4]

Miss Earth India 2016

She participated in Miss Earth India 2016 contest which sends its winner to Miss Earth and won Miss Earth India Water 2016. [5]

Miss Asia World 2017

She represented India in Miss Asia World 2017 beauty pageant, competing with contestants from 24 countries. She stood fifth and won the Miss Internet sub-title. [6] [7]

Miss Tiara India International 2017

She currently holds the crown of Miss Tiara India International 2017. She also won two subtitles "Miss Sports Gear" and "Miss Best National costume", defeating 28 contestants including participants from United States and Turkey. [8]

The 50th edition of Femina Miss India was held at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai, on March 24, 2013. The show was telecast live on Colors. A total of 23 contestants competed in the beauty pageant. Navneet Kaur Dhillon of Punjab was crowned Femina Miss India World 2013 by the outgoing titleholder Vanya Mishra. Sobhita Dhulipala and Zoya Afroz were crowned the 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively.

The 6th edition of Miss Diva took place on 31 August 2018. Top 19 contestants selected from all over the country competed in the pageant, who were mentored by Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta. At the end of the event, Miss Universe India 2017, Shraddha Shashidhar crowned Nehal Chudasama as her successor. She represented India at the 67th Miss Universe 2018 pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand on 16 December 2018. At the same event, Aditi Hundia was crowned as Miss Diva - Supranational 2018 and Roshni Sheoran was crowned as Runner-up. Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was a member of the jury. Miss Diva 2020 was the 8th edition of the Miss Diva beauty pageant held on February 22, 2020. A total of 20 contestants were shortlisted from various auditions across the country. Vartika Singh crowned Adline Castelino as her successor and she represented India at Miss Universe 2020. Shefali Sood crowned Aavriti Choudhary as her successor and she represented India at Miss Supranational 2021. Miss Diva 2018 Runner up Roshni Sheoran crowned Neha Jaiswal as her successor. Anntonia Porsild, Miss Supranational 2019 graced the event. This was the first edition of Miss Diva under Liva Fluid Fashion.

Miss Diva 2019 was the 7th edition of the Miss Diva beauty pageant held on 26 September 2019. Miss Universe India 2018, Nehal Chudasama crowned Vartika Singh as her successor. She represented India at Miss Universe 2019 which was held in Atlanta, Georgia. Shefali Sood was crowned as Miss Supranational India 2019 by her predecessor, Aditi Hundia and she represented India at Miss Supranational 2019 held in Poland. Also, Varun Verma was selected as India's representative at the Mister Supranational 2019 contest.

Tejaswini Manogna is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder. A medical doctor by profession, she won the title of Divine Miss Earth India 2019 and represented India at the 19th edition of the Miss Earth pageant held at Parañaque City, in the Philippines.

Miss Diva 2022 was the 10th anniversary edition of the Miss Diva beauty pageant held on 30 October 2022. At the end of the event, Harnaaz Sandhu crowned Divita Rai as her successor. She represented India in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant and placed in the top 16. Ritika Khatnani crowned Pragnya Ayyagari as her successor. She competed in the Miss Supranational 2023 pageant representing India. She placed in the top 12 and was crowned as Miss Supranational Asia 2023. Sonal Kukreja also crowned Ojasvi Sharma as the successor to Liva Miss Popular Choice 2022.
