Chungking are a British synthpop group formed in Brighton.
Chungking was set in motion by the basement-based musical tinkerings of Sean Hennessey and his friend James Stephenson. The pair eventually decided to obtain a vocalist and discovered that Hennessey's then-girlfriend, Jessie Banks, could sing. Together they spent some time writing music and demoing songs, some of which made their way to Japan where a Tokyo DJ cut part of the demo CD onto 12" records. One of these records landed in the hands of the owner of Tummy Touch Records with the Japanese label reading "beautiful Chungking music" (From where the band eventually got its name). The owner tracked the band down and persuaded them to finish their album. Their first album We Travel Fast was released under Tummy Touch Records in 2003.
Chungking then released the album "The hungry years" in 2004 which was a modified version of "We Travel Fast" In 2007 the album "Stay Up Forever" was released by Gut Records.
Chungking then took some time out from making records and wrote primarily for T.V. and advertising. Songs were featured on programmes such as Nip/Tuck , Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty .
Chungking decided in 2012 that it was time to get back to the magic of the studio and create a new album. "Defender" has been recorded and is anticipated for release in 2015.
The line up of Chungking is now Jessie Banks, Sean Hennessy and Ben Townsend.
In December 2014, Chungking's new song 'Sapphire' was released ahead of the full album release in June 2015.
The Ataris are an American punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana. Formed in 1996, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007. Their best-selling album is So Long, Astoria (2003), which was certified gold. Their high-charting single is the cover song "The Boys of Summer" from So Long, Astoria. The only constant member throughout their history has been singer/songwriter/guitarist Kristopher Roe.

Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in Münster in 1982. They gained popularity in the 1980s. The group was founded by singer Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens. They achieved chart success with the singles "Forever Young", "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", "The Jet Set" and "Dance with Me". Gold remains the only continuous member of Alphaville.
Anal Cunt, also known as AxCx and A.C., was an American grindcore band that formed in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1988. From its inception, the band underwent a number of line-up changes and never had a bass player. Known for its grindcore musical style and controversial lyrics, Anal Cunt released eight full-length studio albums in addition to a number of compilations and extended plays. Anal Cunt disbanded in 2011 after the group's founder and frontman, Seth Putnam, died of a suspected heart attack.
Forever Young is the debut studio album by German synth-pop band Alphaville. It was released on 27 September 1984 by Warner Music Group. Four singles supported the album, "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", "Forever Young", and "Jet Set". The album charted well, hitting the Top 20 in six European countries and reaching number 1 in Norway and Sweden. Alphaville followed up with their second album in 1986 with the release of Afternoons in Utopia.
Nina Sky is an American musical duo consisted of identical twins Nicole and Natalie Albino. Their debut single "Move Ya Body", released from their self-titled debut album in 2004, was a success, reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second album, Nicole & Natalie, was released in July 2012. Their third studio album, Brightest Gold, was announced for 2016 release through Tommy Boy Entertainment.
No Depression is the first studio album by alternative country band Uncle Tupelo, released in June 1990. After its formation in the late 1980s, Uncle Tupelo recorded the Not Forever, Just for Now demo tape, which received a positive review by the College Media Journal in 1989. The review led to the band's signing with what would become Rockville Records later that year. The album was recorded with producers Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie at Fort Apache Studios, on a budget of US$3,500.
I Killed the Prom Queen were an Australian metalcore band from Adelaide, formed in 2000. They were prominent in the Australian live music scene and toured the US, Japan and parts of Europe several times. They issued three studio albums: When Goodbye Means Forever... (2003), Music for the Recently Deceased (2006) – the latter reached the top 30 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and most recently Beloved (2014). The band split up in April 2007 due to the inability to find a permanent vocalist. They reformed with vocalist Michael Crafter to play a farewell tour in mid-2008 and released a live album and DVD, Sleepless Nights and City Lights, which peaked in the top 50. In May 2011 the band reformed with new vocalist Jamie Hope and performed on the Destroy Music Tour. They subsequently released their third studio album Beloved in February 2014.
We Die Young is a song and single EP by the American rock band Alice in Chains, engineered and co-produced by Dave Jerden. It was released in July 1990 and is their first studio EP. This was a promo-only EP released on vinyl and cassette, and is thus a sought-after collector's item amongst Alice in Chains fans.

Still Hungry is an album by the American heavy metal band Twisted Sister, released in 2004. The album is a re-recording of the 1984 album Stay Hungry, with seven bonus tracks. "Never Say Never" and "Blastin' Fast & Loud", were demoed during the original 1984 sessions, completed by the classic line-up in 2001 and recorded for the release of Club Daze Volume II: Live in the Bars in 2002. "Come Back", "Plastic Money", "You Know I Cry" and "Rock 'n' Roll Saviors" are brand new 2004 studio tracks. "Heroes Are Hard to Find" was originally recorded and released in 1998 by the reunited band for the soundtrack of Strangeland, a horror movie written by and starring frontman Dee Snider based on the character Captain Howdy from "Horror-Teria".

Violent Soho are an Australian alternative rock band that was formed in 2004 in the Brisbane suburb of Mansfield, Queensland. The band consists of Luke Boerdam, James Tidswell, Luke Henery and Michael Richards. Their sound has been compared to that of 1980s and 1990s alternative rock bands such as the Pixies, Mudhoney and Nirvana. Although being largely described as 'Grunge' the band is a self described 'Stoner Pop' band. The band's third studio album, Hungry Ghost, was certified Gold in Australia in September 2014. Their fourth album, Waco, debuted at number 1 on the Australian iTunes and ARIA charts in 2016. The band's fifth album, Everything Is A-OK, was released on 3 April 2020 and also debuted at number 1 on the ARIA charts.
Morgan Grace Kibby, also known by the stage name White Sea, is an American singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. She has been an actress in 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd from 1999 to 2002. She has fronted The Romanovs and has collaborated and toured with M83. In recent years she has developed a solo project called White Sea, releasing an EP The Frontier and an album In Cold Blood (2014). After the release of In Cold Blood, she began regularly releasing singles throughout 2015 and 2016 under a new maxim—to release music independent of EPs or albums. She also composed the score of Eva Husson's movie, Bang Gang in 2016.

Greg Saenz is an American drummer from Highland Park, California, currently based in Coachella Valley. He started playing for groups around North East Los Angeles in 1985, mainly influenced by drummers such as John Bonham, Cozy Powell and Phil Taylor. He later joined Excel where he stayed for several years. Also he is a My Head former member and former The Dwarves. Greg Saenz is currently drumming for John Garcia and The Band Of Gold, plus occasionally tours and records with Yawning Man.
