The Chunsa Film Art Awards (also known as the Icheon Chunsa Film Festival) have been presented in South Korea since the founding of the prize by the Korea Film Directors' Society in 1990. [1]

The Chunsa Film Art Awards have been presented in South Korea since the founding of the prize by the Korea Film Directors' Society in 1990. The awards take their name from the pen name of the early Korean actor and filmmaker from the silent film era, Na Woon-gyu. Prizes are given for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best New Director, Best New Actor, Best New Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music/Score, Best Lighting, Best Editing, Best Art Direction, and Technical Award.
Kim Bo-yeon is a South Korean actress.
Kim Dae-seung is a South Korean film director and screenwriter.
Lee Hye-young is a South Korean actress. She is the daughter of celebrated film director Lee Man-hee, who died in 1975 when she was in middle school. Lee began her acting career in 1981 at the age of 18 through a local musical theatre production of The Sound of Music. Since then she has performed in theater, feature and short films, and television. She was one of the most prominent South Korean actresses in the 1980s, starring in films such as The Blazing Sun (1985), Winter Wanderer (1986), Ticket (1986), The Age of Success (1988), North Korean Partisan in South Korea (1990), Fly High Run Far (1991), Passage to Buddha (1993), and No Blood No Tears (2002). Lee also played supporting roles in the Korean dramas I'm Sorry, I Love You (2004), Fashion 70's (2005) and Boys Over Flowers (2009).
Yang Woo-suk is a South Korean film scriptwriter, director, producer, and manhwaga. His first film was the critical and commercial hit The Attorney (2013).
Kim Seong-hun is a South Korean film and television director. He directed How the Lack of Love Affects Two Men (2006), A Hard Day (2014), and Kingdom (2019–).
Kim Jung-Kwon is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut with the film Ditto (2000), which earned him the Best New Director award at the Chunsa Film Art Awards. Following his successful debut, his other notable works include Miracle of a Giving Fool (2008), Lie After Lie (2020), Love to Hate You (2023), and Maestra: Strings of Truth (2023–2024).
Won Shin-yun is a South Korean film director. Won has the unique background of having been a stuntman before making his directorial horror film debut The Wig (2005). He filmed a series of thrillers, including A Bloody Aria (2006), Seven Days (2007), The Suspect (2013) and Memoir of a Murderer (2017). The Suspect was a box office hit with over 4.1 million admissions.
Woo Moon-gi, is a South Korean film director. Woo's directorial feature debut, the indie sports comedy The King of Jokgu (2013), has won various awards, including Best New Director and Special Jury Prize at the 20th Chunsa Film Art Awards, and Best Independent Film Director at the 15th Director's Cut Awards.
Extreme Job (Korean: 극한직업) is a 2019 South Korean action comedy film directed by Lee Byeong-heon, starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Lee Hanee, Jin Seon-kyu, Lee Dong-hwi and Gong Myung. The film was released on January 23, 2019.

The Battle: Roar to Victory is a 2019 South Korean period war drama film, revolving around the Battle of Fengwudong between Korean independence militias and Japanese forces in 1920 during the Japanese occupation of Korea.
The 56th Grand Bell Awards, also known as Daejong Film Awards, is determined and presented annually by The Motion Pictures Association of Korea for excellence in film in South Korea. The Grand Bell Awards were first presented in 1962 and have gained prestige as the Korean equivalent of the American Academy Awards. The ceremony was originally scheduled to be held on February 25, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony was held on June 3, 2020.
Kim Bora is a South Korean filmmaker. Her short film, The Recorder Exam won numerous awards including the Best Student Filmmaker Award from The Directors Guild of America. The film was also a National Finalist for the 2012 Student Academy Awards. Kim’s debut feature House of Hummingbird received production support from the Korean Film Council, Seoul Film Commission and Asian Cinema Fund of Busan International Film Festival. The film received post-production support from the Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program and was selected as an IFP Narrative Lab Fellow. It premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, where it won the NETPAC award and the KNN Audience award. The film went on to collect 59 awards from prestigious festivals, including Berlinale, Tribeca, BFI London, Istanbul, Jerusalem, and a Blue Dragon award—Korea’s equivalent of an Oscar.

The ceremony was initially set for May 1, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It did not invite an on-site audience to prevent the spread of the disease.
