City Mall was a shopping mall located in Eroii Revolutiei square, Bucharest, Romania. Opened in 2005, the construction was based on an incomplete hunger circus abandoned after the fall of the Communist system. [2]

The mall became insolvent in 2012, and was bought by real estate investor Ioannis Papalekas. In March 2013, Papalekas announced plans to convert the mall into an office building. [3]

Casa Radio was erected during the late 1980s by the Communist regime on land which before the Second World War was the location of the Bucharest Hippodrome. The building was intended to serve as a museum of the Romanian Communist Party. The balcony of the unfinished building facing Ştirbei Vodă Street was used by the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu on 23 August 1989 to watch the festivities marking Romania's National Day. Sector 3 is an administrative unit of Bucharest. It is the most populous, most densely populated and also the third-largest division of the city. The 2018 FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup was the fourth edition of the 3x3 Europe Championships, organized by FIBA Europe, and was held between 14 and 16 September 2018, in the city's Metropolitan Circus in Bucharest, Romania. This 3x3 basketball competition featured separate tournaments for men's and women's national teams. This was the third time that Bucharest had hosted the championships, after the 2014 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships at the University Square and the 2016 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships within the AFI Cotroceni shopping mall.
