Claire B. Lang is an American talk show host. [1] Since 1996, she has reported for NASCAR. She last hosted SiriusXM Satellite Radio's "Dialed In" until the conclusion of the 2023 season. She was one of the first women to become a sports radio host. [2] She has been called the "First Lady" of NASCAR Radio. [3]

Beyond her work as a radio host, Lang has appeared on The John Boy & Billy Show, [4] TBS, Fox Television, Inside NASCAR, [5] and Sky Sports in Europe.[ citation needed ] She attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating in 1976. [6] She voices the narrator on all the main challenges in the 2017 video game NASCAR Heat 2 .

Lang is the daughter of John Bennett, the silver medalist in long jump at the 1956 Summer Olympics. [7]

John Dale Bennett was an American athlete who competed mainly in the long jump. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He competed for the United States in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia in the long jump, where he won the silver medal. Bennett attended Marquette University and won two NCAA titles while competing for the school's track and field team.

Connor Theodore Hansen was an American lawyer, jurist, and Republican politician from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court for 13 years, from 1967 until 1980. Earlier in his career, he served as county judge and district attorney of Eau Claire County, and worked as a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during World War II.

Charles H. Thompson (1935-2012) was the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for eight years. Prior to his role as Secretary, Thompson worked at the Wisconsin Public Service Commission. He was appointed by Governor Tommy Thompson and served from April 1, 1987 to December 31, 1991. Thompson was then appointed to the position of Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in January 1992. He retired in 2000 and lived in Florida until his death. He was educated at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

Joan Reidy Heggen was an American politician who served as mayor of Tallahassee, Florida. The first woman to hold the position, Heggen served as mayor from 1973 to 1974. She declined to run for reelection, citing a desire to spend more time with her family. Heggen was born in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. She also did graduate work at the University of Alabama.
