Clare-Hope Ashitey (born 12 February 1987) [1] is a British actress. She attended the Centre Stage School of Performing Arts, Southgate [2] while being educated at The Latymer School, [3] in the Edmonton area of London, for seven years.

Contents

She took a gap year between school and university to work on the film Children of Men (2006). [3] In 2018, she starred in the Netflix Original crime drama series Seven Seconds. [4]

Early life and education

Ashitey was born in Enfield [1] to Tina, a medical secretary, and Paul, a dentist, who are both from Ghana. She has an older sister, Grace, who studied at the University of Warwick, and an older brother. Ashitey attended Brimsdown primary school in Brimsdown, Enfield before being educated at The Latymer School in Edmonton, North London. [5] [ failed verification ] She graduated in anthropology from SOAS, University of London in 2009. [6]

Enfield Lock is an area in the London Borough of Enfield, north London. Rwanda competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The country's participation at London marked its eighth appearance in the Summer Olympics since its début at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The delegation included seven competitors which included three track and field athletes; Robert Kajuga, Jean Pierre Mvuyekure and Claudette Mukasakindi. The other people that represented the country were cross-country cyclist Adrien Niyonshuti, judoka Fred Yannick Uwase, swimmers Jackson Niyomugabo and Alphonsine Agahozo. The track and field athletes qualified for the Games by meeting qualification standards while the remaining four made the Olympics through wildcard places. Niyonshuti was the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. No athletes were able to achieve medals at the London Olympic Games.

Seven Seconds is an American crime drama television series, based on the Russian film The Major written and directed by Yuri Bykov, that premiered on February 23, 2018, on Netflix. The series, which is created, executive produced, and showrun by Veena Sud, follows the people involved in investigating the death of a Black teenager and his family as they reel after the loss. On April 18, 2018, Netflix confirmed there would not be a second season, deeming it a limited series.

Jasmine Sky Blackborow is a British actress who began her career in theatre. She played Marie in the first season of the Netflix series Shadow and Bone and Jessica in the film Demon Mind. She appeared in the main cast of the Canal+ and BBC drama series Marie Antoinette.
