Clare Lilley

Clare Lilley is a British art curator and Director at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. [1] She previously held the post of Director of Programme. [2] [3]

Lilley graduated with a degree in the History of Art from Manchester University. Since 2012 she has curated Frieze Sculpture [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] in London's Regents Park and she has curated William Turnbull for Chatsworth House, [9] Derbyshire and Jaume Plensa at San Giorgio Maggiore as Venice Biennale collateral event. [10]

Lilley sits on the Advisory Committee of the Government Art Collection and the boards of Art UK, London, the George Rickey Foundation, New York and the Jupiter Artland Foundation, Edinburgh.[ citation needed ] She is a nominator for the Nasher Sculpture Prize and has been a judge for the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Visual Art Awards, the Kleinwort Hambros Emerging Artist Award and the Eden Project Pollinator Commission.[ citation needed ] She is the author of Vitamin C: Clay and Ceramic in Contemporary Art, published by Phaidon.

Lilley has twice been cited on the Artylst Alt Power List. [11] [12]

Glasstress is a recurring exhibition that brings together art by contemporary artists made with glass. Launched in 2009 as a collateral exhibition of the Venice Biennale of Arts by Adriano Berengo as a way of showcasing the works produced by Berengo Studio, it has since had editions take place in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Spillover is a public artwork by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. It is installed in Atwater Park in Shorewood, Wisconsin, United States. It depicts an 8.5-foot (2.6 m) crouching man whose open form is made of steel letters. It is on a 2-foot (0.61 m) concrete base, and was publicly dedicated on September 21, 2010.

Ben Moore is a British art curator, entrepreneur and artist. He is the founder and curator of Art Below, a contemporary art organisation that places art in public spaces and has had shows in England, Germany, Japan and the United States. He is also the founder and curator of Art Wars, an exhibition of designs based on the Imperial Stormtrooper helmets from Star Wars. In 2021, Moore was part of the Art Wars NFT project which resulted in massive losses for the purchasers of the NFTs and claims of copyright theft from artists whose physical work was reproduced without their permission.

The John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park is a 4.4-acre (1.8 ha) park within Western Gateway Park in Des Moines, Iowa. It opened in 2009 with 24 sculptures, with four more acquired later. The sculpture park is administered by the Des Moines Art Center and contains works by artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Jaume Plensa, Ai Weiwei, and Barry Flanagan. It is considered "one of the most significant collections of outdoor sculptures in the United States".

The 58th Venice Biennale was an international contemporary art exhibition held between May and November 2019. The Venice Biennale takes place biennially in Venice, Italy. Artistic director Ralph Rugoff curated its central exhibition, May You Live in Interesting Times, and 90 countries contributed national pavilions.

Cecilia Alemani is an Italian curator based in New York City. She is the Donald R. Mullen Jr. Director & Chief Curator of High Line Art and the artistic director of the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022. She previously curated the 2017 Biennale's Italian pavilion and served as artistic director of the inaugural edition of the 2018 Art Basel Cities in Buenos Aires, held in 2018.

Zoé Whitley is an American art historian and curator who has been director of Chisenhale Gallery since 2020. Based in London, she has held curatorial positions at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Tate galleries, and the Hayward Gallery. At the Tate galleries, Whitley co-curated the 2017 exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, which was described by ARTnews as one of the most important art exhibitions of the 2010s. Soon after she was chosen to organise the British pavilion at the 2019 Venice Biennale.

Fatoş Üstek, born 1980 in Ankara, is a London-based independent Turkish curator and writer, working internationally with large scale organizations, biennials and festivals, as well as commissioning in the public realm. In 2008 she received her MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths College London, after completing her BA in Mathematics at Bogazici University in Istanbul.
