Clare Lilley is a British art curator and most recently, Director at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. [1] In July 2025 she stepped down from the role at YSP, [2] where previously she held the post of Director of Programme. [3] [4]
Lilley graduated with a degree in the History of Art from Manchester University. [5] From 2012 to 2022 she curated Frieze Sculpture [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] in London's Regents Park and she has curated William Turnbull for Chatsworth House, [11] Derbyshire and Jaume Plensa at San Giorgio Maggiore as Venice Biennale collateral event. [12]
Lilley sits on the board of the George Rickey Foundation, New York and the Jupiter Artland Foundation, Edinburgh. [13] Previously she was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Government Art Collection and sat on the board of Art UK, London. She is a nominator for the Nasher Sculpture Prize and has been a judge for Art Now at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Visual Art Awards, the Kleinwort Hambros Emerging Artist Award and the Eden Project Pollinator Commission.[ citation needed ] She is the author of Vitamin C: Clay and Ceramic in Contemporary Art, published by Phaidon.
