Clarence J. Tauzer (July 7,1897 - September 4,1948) was a United States lawyer and politician.
Tauzer served in the United States Army during World War I. [1] In the 1920s,he was a football,basketball and sports coach at Santa Rosa Junior College. [2] He moved to Santa Rosa,California in 1923 to join a law practice. He had just graduated from Stanford Law School where he had been student body president and captain of the basketball team. [3]
Tauzer became a member of the California State Senate in 1947. [4] He filled a seat vacated by the death of Herbert Slater. Tauzer died one year later;suffering a heart attack in San Francisco at the age of 51. [5]

The population was 517 at the time of the 2000 United States Census and had increased to 652 by the 2010 United States Census. In 2010,288 residents were under 18 and 29 (4.4%) were 65 and over.

Clarence Atwell Jr. was an American Tachi Yokuts tribal leader and politician. He served as the Chairman of the Tachi Yokuts of Santa Rosa Rancheria from 1967 until 2009. Atwell has been widely credited with improving the standard of living on the Santa Rosa Rancheria reservation during his 42-year tenure as Chairman of the Tachi Yokuts.
Kanaye Nagasawa was an American winemaker in California,the first former Japanese national to live permanently in the United States,a recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun,and a disciple of Thomas Lake Harris,the self-proclaimed "Father and Pivot and Primate and King of the Brotherhood of the New Life". Nagasawa followed Harris from New York out to Santa Rosa,California,where he eventually took over Harris' Fountaingrove estate. Nagasawa died in 1934,but the round barn he constructed at Fountaingrove was a landmark in Sonoma County.
