Clearview Local School District was formed on and serves students from Sheffield Township, Ohio and part of Lorain, Ohio. Clearview has three school buildings. Vincent Elementary houses K-4 and was built in the 1912, Durling Middle School houses 5-8 and was built in 1952 and Clearview High School houses 9-12 and was built in 1923. In 2004 all three buildings were greatly renovated and expanded, thanks to the Ohio School Facilities Commission 23 million dollars. At Vincent and Clearview all the older sections were demolished and made way for new classrooms.

Founded in 1908, it became known as Youngstown College in 1931 and sought accreditation through the North Central Association in 1944. As educational needs in the Mahoning Valley changed, Youngstown College grew significantly. In 1955, Youngstown College became Youngstown University, later designated Youngstown State University in 1967. Youngstown State University is the easternmost member of the University System of Ohio.

Clearview High School (CHS) is a public high school located in Lorain, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Clearview Local School District, one of five school districts serving the city of Lorain and all of Sheffield Township, Ohio. Clearview High School houses students in grades 9-12. It was formerly named Clearview Junior-Senior High School and housed students in grades 7-12. After a remodeling project across the district in the early 2000s, grades 7 and 8 moved to Durling Middle School, just northwest of the high school.
The Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) is a state prison for women owned and operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Marysville, Ohio. It opened in September 1916, when 34 female inmates were transferred from the Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus. ORW is a multi-security, state facility. As of July 2019, 2,394 female inmates were living at the prison ranging from minimum-security inmates all the way up to one inmate on death row. It was the fifth prison in the United States, in modern times, to open a nursery for imprisoned mothers and their babies located within the institution. The Achieving Baby Care Success (ABC) program was the first in the state to keep infants with their mothers.
Renee Powell is an American professional golfer who played on the US-based LPGA Tour and is currently head professional at her family's Clearview Golf Club in East Canton, Ohio. She was the second African-American woman ever to play on the LPGA Tour.
The Patriot Athletic Conference (PAC-12) was an Ohio high school athletic league made up of 12 schools from around the Cleveland area that went around from 2005-2006 to the 2018-2019 school year. All schools are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Celina, Ohio, United States. Founded later than many other Catholic parishes in the heavily Catholic region of western Ohio, it owns a complex of buildings constructed in the early 20th century that have been designated historic sites because of their architecture. Leading among them is its massive church, built in the Romanesque Revival style just 43 years after the first Catholic moved into the city: it has been called northwestern Ohio's grandest church building.
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in McCartyville, Ohio, United States. Founded in the late nineteenth century, it remains an active parish to the present day. Its rectory, which was built in the early twentieth century, has been designated a historic site.
The Clearview Golf Club is the first golf course in the United States that was built, owned and operated by an African American. The club was started in 1946, with Bill Powell purchasing the land and working on it in his spare time. It opened to the public and to all races in April of 1948. The club, which is located outside of East Canton, Ohio, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Bill Powell's daughter, Renee Powell who learned to play on Clearview, went on to become the second black woman to play on the LPGA tour.
