Clinton Howe is an Australian politician from the Country Liberal Party.
In the 2024 Northern Territory general election,he defeated Labor Chief Minister of the Northern Territory Eva Lawler in Drysdale. [1] He was the third challenger to oust the Northern Territory's head of government in their own seat,and the fourth challenger to defeat a major-party leader in their own seat. Amid a heavy swing to the CLP in Darwin and Palmerston,Howe defeated Lawler with 65.2 percent of the primary vote on a swing of over 21 percent,enough to turn the downtown Palmerston seat into a safe CLP seat in one stroke. He actually won 59.5 percent of the primary vote,enough to take the seat off Labor without the need for preferences.
Howe formerly served in the 1st Armoured Regiment in Darwin and was the welfare officer for the Australian Army in the Northern Territory. [2]

At the 2005 election,she led Territory Labor to the second-largest majority government in the history of the Territory,before resigning as Chief Minister on 26 November 2007.

The centre-left Labor Party,led by Chief Minister Clare Martin,won a second term with a landslide victory,winning six of the ten seats held by the opposition Country Liberal Party in the 25-member Northern Territory Legislative Assembly,bringing their total to 19. It is an urban electorate covering 5 km2 in north-western Palmerston including the CBD and the suburbs of Driver,Gray,Yarrawonga and most of Moulden. There were 5,828 people enrolled within the electorate as of August 2020.
