Clissold is a ward in the London Borough of Hackney. The name is derived from Clissold Crescent and the ward also borders Clissold Park in the neighbouring Lordship ward both of which form part of the Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. The boundaries of the ward from May 2014 are revised and will take in Clissold Park. [1] Clissold has the highest percentage of residents cycling to work of all wards in London. [2]

2002–2014 Hackney council elections

There was a revision of ward boundaries in Hackney in 2002. The ward returns three councillors to Hackney London Borough Council, with elections every four years. At the previous election on 6 May 2010 Karen Alcock, Wendy Mitchell, and Linda Smith; all Labour Party candidates were elected. Turnout was 65%; and 5,600 votes were cast. [7] In 2001, Clissold ward had a total population of 10,433. This compares with the average ward population within the borough of 10,674. [8]

Clissold ward has existed since the creation of the London Borough of Hackney on 1 April 1965. It was first used in the 1964 elections, with an electorate of 9,029, returning three councillors. [11]

Whitefoot is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is located 13 km (8.1 mi) south-east of Charing Cross, and is north of Downham, south of Catford, west of Grove Park, and east of Bellingham. It is long east to west following Whitefoot Lane, the local main road, making it about 3 km (1.9 mi) at its longest point. Whitefoot is also on the Prime Meridian.

Evelyn is an electoral ward in the northernmost part of the London Borough of Lewisham. It covers the northern part of Deptford on the south bank of the River Thames, and is the only Lewisham ward that borders the river. Darwin is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Bromley. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. It returns one councillor to Bromley London Borough Council. To date, the ward has only been represented by the Conservative Party. The ward covers the most rural part of the borough consisting a number of hamlets. It is the largest electoral ward in Greater London. As originally created in 1965 it included Downe, Cudham, Luxted, Single Street, Berry's Green, Horns Green and Knockholt. Leaves Green, Pratt's Bottom and South Street have also formed part of the ward at certain times. Since 2022 it has covered an area of 32.74 square kilometres (12.64 sq mi). The current elected political party's website for 2022, (Conservative), states that the Ward is the most southerly Ward within the London Borough of Bromley. And, that it comprisies Downe, Cudham, Leaves Green, Leavesden Estate, Westerham Hill, Beechwood, and Pratts Bottom.

Hoxton West is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Hackney. The ward was first used in the 2014 elections. It returns three councillors to Hackney London Borough Council. The ward was created from most of the previous ward of Hoxton, except for the section east of Pitfield Street.
