Closer to the Flame is the second studio album of Joel Kroeker and the third of his albums after his 1999 independent release CD Naive Bohemian and 2004 release of Melodrama .

Joel Kroeker is a Canadian singer/songwriter. During his musical career, he was signed to the True North Records music label. He has released two official albums Melodrama (2004) and Closer to the Flame (2007) in addition to an earlier independent album release called Naive Bohemian (1999)

Greenspoon is also the President of "The Audio Truck Inc.", a mobile recording studio recording materials for television, radio, and record. From 1989 to 1996, he was Popular Music recording producer for CBC Radio in Toronto producing recordings of jazz, popular music, folk music, country music and world music, for broadcast and commercial release.
