Club Shay Shay is an American podcast hosted by sports analyst and former NFL player Shannon Sharpe. [1] [2] It is co-produced by The Volume and Shay Shay media, [3] and airs once a week. On the podcast, Sharpe interviews athletes and celebrities about current events, sports, and pop culture. [4] [5] Episodes of the podcast are filmed, and the video format is released on the show's YouTube channel.

History

Club Shay Shay launched in September 2020 as a Fox Sports podcast. [6] [7] The first episode featured Shannon Sharpe's brother, Sterling Sharpe. [8] [9] In August 2023, it was announced that Sharpe and his Club Shay Shay podcast would join The Volume, a digital podcast network founded by Colin Cowherd, under a multi-year deal. [10] [11] [12] [3] In 2024, Sharpe's interview with Katt Williams on the January 3 episode of the podcast drew much media attention, including being parodied by Saturday Night Live . [13] [14] [15] [16] In October 2024, Sharpe's interview with U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris drew national media attention. [17] [18] [19]

Shannon Sharpe is an American former professional football tight end who played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Denver Broncos. Regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time, he ranks third in tight end receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. <i>The Original Kings of Comedy</i> 2000 American film

The Original Kings of Comedy is a 2000 American stand-up comedy film directed by Spike Lee and featuring the comedy routines of Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Bernie Mac. Filmed in front of a live audience at the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, the comedians give the audience their views about African-American culture, race relations, religion, and family. The film was produced by MTV Productions and Latham Entertainment, and was distributed by Paramount Pictures. It was shot over the last two nights of the Kings of Comedy tour with Harvey, Hughley, Cedric, and Mac. The show is intercut with footage of the comedians backstage, promoting the show on the radio, at the hotel, and during a basketball game. It was a critical and commercial success. The film's popularity led to multiple spin-off films.

Micah "Katt" Williams is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He played Money Mike in Friday After Next, was a recurring guest on Wild 'n Out, portrayed Bobby Shaw in My Wife and Kids, provided the voice of A Pimp Named Slickback in The Boondocks and Seamus in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, and portrayed Lord Have Mercy in Norbit.
