The Cocoa Fliers were a professional minor league baseball team based in Fort Pierce, Florida from 1941 until 1942. The clubs played in the Class-D Florida East Coast League. The team and the league both shut their doors, along with many other minor leagues, a few months after the United States entered World War II, and, despite the postwar baseball boom, they were not revived.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are a Minor League Baseball team of the Double-A South and the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are based in Pensacola, Florida, and play their home games at Admiral Fetterman Field. In 2012, the team relocated to Pensacola from Zebulon, North Carolina, where they were known as the Carolina Mudcats. They were previously members of the Southern League from 2012 to 2020.

The Leesburg Athletics was the final name of a professional minor league baseball team, based in Leesburg, Florida. Those teams which are affiliated with MLB teams operate under the Commissioner of Baseball within the scope of organized baseball. Several leagues, known as independent baseball leagues, consist of teams with no affiliation to MLB teams.

The Florida Fire Frogs are a baseball team located in North Port, Florida. From 2017 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's Florida State League and were the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The affiliation was terminated after the 2020 season with the team's future uncertain.
