Isère is a department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France named after the river Isère.
Grande Chartreuse is the head monastery of the Carthusian religious order. It is located in the Chartreuse Mountains, north of the city of Grenoble, in the commune of Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse (Isère), France.

The canton of Chartreuse-Guiers is an administrative division of the Isère department, eastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Saint-Laurent-du-Pont.
