Colin Francis Blades (born 13 August 1944) is a former West Indian cricketer who played both for Barbados in West Indian domestic cricket and for Bermuda internationally. He captained Bermuda at the 1982 ICC Trophy, where he was also the overall leading run-scorer.

Blades was born in Saint Philip Parish, Barbados. [1] He made his first-class debut in February 1964, playing for Barbados against British Guiana. After his debut, Blades did not feature for Barbados again until the 1968–69 Shell Shield season, when he played in all four of his team's matches. [2] Against Jamaica, he made what was to be his highest first-class score, 75 runs from third in the batting order (including ten fours and a six). [3] During the 1969 English season, Blades appeared twice for Nottinghamshire in the Second XI Championship. [4] Later in the season, he also played in several exhibition games for the International Cavaliers (including against the touring New Zealanders). [5] He eventually joined up with the Barbadian squad that was on its own tour of England, playing two first-class matches (against Nottinghamshire and the Cavaliers) and a one-day fixture (against Essex). Having played his last games for Barbados during the 1969–70 season, Blades moved to Bermuda in the early 1970s. He is first recorded as playing for the Bermudian national side in 1975, when he represented the team against Jamaica. [5] In 1979, Blades was selected for Bermuda in the inaugural edition of the ICC Trophy. [7] He was one of six members of the squad with first-class experience, the others being Joseph Bailey, Noel Gibbons, Clarence Parfitt, Lionel Thomas, and Winston Trott. [8] His biggest contribution at the tournament was as a bowler, with his best performances being 1/3 from 12 overs against Argentina and 2/14 from 12 overs in the semi-final against Canada. [9] [10] For the 1982 ICC Trophy, Blades was named Bermuda's captain, aged 37. [7] He finished the tournament as the overall leading run-scorer, making 310 runs from eight matches (including innings of 69 not out against Papua New Guinea and 82 not out against West Africa). [11] Bermuda made the tournament's final for the first and only time, but lost to Zimbabwe, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the 1983 World Cup. [12]

The Barbados national cricket team is the national cricket team of Barbados, organised by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA). Barbados is a member of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), which is a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its own right, and Barbadians play internationally for the West Indies cricket team.

The NAGICO Regional Super50 is the domestic one-day cricket competition in the West Indies. It was previously known as the KFC Cup until the fast food chain pulled out of sponsorship in 2008 and the WICB Cup until 2011. Richard Wayne Staple is a Jamaican born former American cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, he was captain of the United States national cricket team at the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy, where the USA played their only One Day Internationals (ODIs) to date. He had previously played first-class and List A cricket for his native Jamaica.

Janeiro J Tucker is a Bermudian cricketer, who captained the Bermudian cricket team in their first ever One Day International when they played Canada on 17 May 2006; Tucker took 2-29 off nine overs and scored 17 as Bermuda won the game by three wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method. He has since gone on to play in twenty six ODIs for Bermuda.

Ray Ricardo Wynter is a former Jamaican cricketer who played first-class and one-day cricket for Jamaica from 1975 until 1982. A right-handed batsman and right-arm opening bowler, he played 30 matches in all in those formats. In 1983, Wynter participated in a rebel tour of South Africa. As a result, he and all the other players on the tour received a lifetime ban from West Indian cricket. Wynter later emigrated to the United States, and played for the U.S. national team at the 1990 ICC Trophy.

Carl Da Costa Wright is a Jamaican born American cricketer. Wright is a right-handed batsman who plays occasionally as a wicketkeeper. Wright currently represents the United States national cricket team.

Delray Millard Wendell Rawlins is a Bermudian international cricketer currently listed with Sussex in English county cricket. He made his senior debut for Bermuda's national team at the age of 15, and has since made regular appearances for the team in international competitions. Rawlins has also played for the England under-19s, qualifying by attending an English boarding school. On 14 April 2017, he made his first-class cricket debut for Sussex in the 2017 County Championship. On 19 May 2017, he made his List A debut for Sussex against the South Africans team, during South Africa's tour of England.

Martin Joel Prashad was a Canadian cricketer of Guyanese origin. His career for the Canadian national side spanned from 1983 to 1996, and included games at the 1986, 1990, and 1994 editions of the ICC Trophy.
