Colom Island (Illa d'en Colom, official name in Catalan) is a small island of 143 acres (0.58 km2), located about 200 metres (656 ft) from the north-east coast of Menorca. In the past it was used as a pesthouse and later as farmland. It belonged to the Roca family from Mahón starting in 1904, when it was bought by Mr. Antonio Roca Várez. In 2018, United States billionaire Alex Meruelo purchased the island for 3.2 million Euros. [1] There is a single 100 square meter home on the island. It is currently part of the Natural Park of the Albufera of Es Grau.
In October 2010 it was announced that the island was being sold for roughly six million Euro. [2] [3] It sold for €3.2 million in 2018. [4]

Menorca Airport, also known as Mahón Menorca Airport is an international airport serving the island of Menorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. The airport is located 4.5 km (2.8 mi) southwest of the city of Mahón. The airport is primarily used by charter and seasonal flights and is busiest during the April-October season. In 2019, the airport handled over 3 million passengers, making it the fifteenth busiest airport in the country that year.

The Menorquina is an endangered breed of cattle from the Mediterranean island of Menorca, in the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It belongs to the group of convex-profiled red cattle, whose distribution across the northern Mediterranean region is thought to have followed the path of the Bell-Beaker Culture. It is one of only two autochthonous Spanish breeds of dairy cattle, the other being the Pasiega. The milk is particularly suitable for cheese production, and is used to make Mahón cheese, which has DOP status.
