The Colombia national handball team is the team of national players Colombia representing the Colombian Federation of Handball in international competitions organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF) [1] or the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Never participated in the Olympic Games and world, only participates in the Pan. In recent years the discipline is growing.

The Pan-American Team Handball Federation (PATHF) was the continental governing body for handball, beach handball, wheelchair handball and snow handball in Americas since 23 May 1977. PATHF includes North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. PATHF's primary functions is to organize competitions for national teams and clubs, and to conduct Men's World Handball Championship and Women's World Handball Championship qualifying tournaments.
The Portuguese men's national handball team is governed by the Portuguese Handball Federation and competes in international competitions such as the European Men's Handball Championship and the IHF World Men's Handball Championship. They have participated four times in the World Championship, reaching an all-time best 10th place in 2021, and seven times in the European Championship, with a 6th place in 2020 as their best placing. They participated in the men's handball tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, their first-ever Olympic appearance, finishing in 9th place.

The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This was the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005.
The Paraguay national handball team is the team that represents Paraguay in the international handball competitions organized by the Pan-American Team Handball Federation (PATHF), the International Handball Federation (IHF) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and is governed by the Federación Paraguaya de Handball. Paraguay participated in 5 Pan American Men's Handball Championships in 1981, 1994, 2002, 2012 and 2016.
Alice Keighley is an Australian team handball and beach handball player. As a member of the Australian national team, Alice played in the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil and in the 2015 IHF Four Nations Tournament in Kazakhstan. As a member of the Australian Women's Junior Handball Team, she competed in the 2013 IHF Intercontinental World Cup Challenge Trophy in Mexico and the 2012 IHF Oceania Continental Challenge Trophy. In 2010, she was selected in the Australian Youth Olympic handball team to attend the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, where the team came 6th. As a member of the Australia women's national beach handball team, she competed in the 2012 Beach Handball World Championships in Oman, the World Games 2013 in Colombia and the 2014 Beach Handball World Championships in Brazil.

Irina Alexandra Pop is a Romanian born Dominican team handball player. She plays for the club Associació Lleidatana d'Handbol (Spain) and on the Dominican Republic national team. She competed at the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship in Serbia, where the Dominican Republic placed 23rd.

Handball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, were held from July 24 to August 5. The venue for the competition is the Sports Centre Hall 1 located at the Videna cluster. The venue also hosted judo. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams competed in each tournament. This means a total of 224 athletes are competed.
