Colorado Center for the Blind, in Littleton, Colorado, is a nonprofit training center for blind people.

The Colorado Center for the Blind provides teaching based on the philosophy of blindness advanced by the National Federation of the Blind focusing on independence, opportunity and self-confidence as a way to achieve total integration into society based on equality. [1] [2] The Colorado Center for the Blind also acts as an advocate for the blind community, provides experts on blindness to the national media, and delivers government-sponsored services for the visually impaired. [3] [4] [5] [6] Founded in 1988, the center moved to its current location in 2000 and includes nearby residential apartments for program participants. [7] The largest and most comprehensive program is the residential Independence Training Program for Adults. Other programs are aimed towards Youth and Seniors as well as a general seminar for business and organizations working with the blind. [8] The majority of instructors are blind. [9]

Marycrest Girls High School was an all female high school located at 5320 Federal Boulevard in Denver, Colorado, United States. The school was a private Roman Catholic institution.

The Korean Academy of Taekwondo is one of Colorado's Taekwondo and martial arts schools. The school was founded in February 1980 by Grandmaster Jae Kyu Chung. The school has produced numerous tournament champions and has trained thousands of students throughout the years. They have also contributed several non-peer reviewed articles on the physics and mechanics of martial arts. The school has several locations in Colorado and has at times had locations in Texas and Baghdad, Iraq.

The High Line Canal (HLC) is a man-made waterway, used for irrigation and recreation, that serves the Denver-Aurora metropolitan area. It begins at a diversion dam on the South Platte River, some 1.8 miles (2.9 km) above the mouth of Waterton Canyon. From its headgate, the HLC runs generally northeast for 66 miles (106 km), passing through Douglas, Arapahoe, Denver, and Adams Counties.

The Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Founded in 1906, it is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and serves around 10,000 clients annually in Northeast Ohio. The organization also has radio-reading and community outreach programs that benefit a larger number of individuals.

The Jernigan Institute is a research and training institute developed and run by the blind. Named after Dr.Kenneth Jernigan, it was the first of its kind. It was established in Baltimore in January 2004. The goal of the institute is to change attitudes about blindness and support the independence of blind individuals.

The University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs is located in the Lower Downtown ("LoDo") district of Denver, Colorado. The School is fully accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). The School enrolls approximately many students in graduate programs in public administration, public affairs, and criminal justice, and undergraduate programs in criminal justice and public service.
