The Colorado Springs Millionaires were a minor league baseball team, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado that played primarily in the Western League.
The first Colorado Springs team played in the Colorado State League in 1889 and 1896. The Millionaires were formed in 1901 and played through 1905 when they moved to Pueblo, Colorado to become the Pueblo Indians. The Millionaires returned in 1912 in the Rocky Mountain League but they moved at mid-season to Dawson, New Mexico and became the Dawson Stags. The final version of the team played in 1916 in the Western League when the Wichita Witches briefly relocated to Colorado Springs.

Pueblo is also the principal city of the Pueblo–Cañon City, CO Combined Statistical Area totaling approximately 208,000 people, making it the 134th largest in the nation.
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), commonly known as the Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC) from approximately 1910 through the late 1960s, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the western United States, mostly in Colorado with members in Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Utah. It participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division II.
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox were a Minor League Baseball team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team played in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and was the Triple-A affiliate of the major league Milwaukee Brewers (2015–2018), Colorado Rockies (1993–2014), and Cleveland Indians (1988–1992). The Sky Sox won the PCL title in 1992 and 1995.
The Denver Zephyrs were a Minor League Baseball team based in Denver, Colorado. They were a Triple-A team that played in the American Association from 1955 to 1962, the Pacific Coast League from 1963 to 1968, and the American Association again from 1969 to 1992. They played their home games at Mile High Stadium.
The Orem Owlz were a Minor League Baseball team located in Orem, Utah, United States, from 2001 to 2020. The team competed in the Pioneer League as a Rookie League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. The Owlz played their home games at Home of the Owlz on the campus of Utah Valley University. They were previously known as the Provo Angels from 2001 to 2004.

Dawson is a ghost town in Colfax County, New Mexico, United States. Dawson was the site of two separate coal mining disasters in 1913 and 1923. Dawson is located approximately 17 miles northeast of Cimarron. Dawson was a coal mining company town founded in 1901, when rancher John Barkley Dawson sold his coal-rich land in northern New Mexico to the Dawson Fuel Company. The Dawson Railway was built connecting the town to Tucumcari. The mines were productive, and by 1905 the town boasted a population of nearly 2,000, later reaching around 9,000.
The Pueblo Bighorns were a minor league baseball team which played in Pueblo, Colorado. They were a member of the Texas–Louisiana League, an expansion team owned and organized by the league's investors, and brought professional baseball back to Pueblo. They played the first half of their inaugural season, until financial difficulty, lack of corporate sponsorship and resulting poor fan attendance forced the Bighorns to disband. Like all TLL clubs, they were unaffiliated with Major League Baseball. The team played at historic Runyon Field.
