Shipyard: signatory of the build contract responsible for the final fitout and the delivery of the vessel
Designer: naval architect responsible for drawing the lines plan and the sail plan of the vessel
LOA: overall sparred length in metres
LWL: load waterline length in metres
Beam: width of the vessel in metres
Draught: draught of the vessel in metres (minimum draft of lifting keels in parentheses)
Air draught: masthead height in metres
Sail Area: summed upwind surface area of mainsail and headsails in square metres
Displacement: displaced volume of water, upright, at rest, in metric tonnes
Hull material: build material of the hull
Propulsion: number of engines and their power in kilowatts

The International rule, also known as the Metre rule, was created for the measuring and rating of yachts to allow different designs of yacht to race together under a handicap system. The P-Class is a type of small single sail dinghy, popular as a training boat for young people in New Zealand. This class is famous for being the sailing trainer vessel for many new entrants into the sport, and virtually every famous New Zealand yachtsman, including Dean Barker and Russell Coutts, learnt to sail in one. The P-Class was for many years the most common sailing boat in New Zealand.

<i>Maltese Falcon</i> (yacht) Luxury yacht and full-rigged ship

Maltese Falcon is a full-rigged ship using DynaRig technology, which was built by Perini Navi in Tuzla, Istanbul, and commissioned by her first owner, Tom Perkins. She is one of the world's most complex and largest sailing yachts at 88 m (289 ft), similar in size to the Athena and Eos. The vessel dropped its BVI flag in 2008 and was purchased by Pleon Ltd, which put it to charter use.

To be termed a "yacht", as opposed to a "boat", such a vessel is likely to be at least 33 feet (10 m) in length and have been judged to have good aesthetic qualities. Sailboats that do not accommodate overnight use or are smaller than 30 feet (9.1 m) are not universally called yachts. Sailing yachts in excess of 130 feet (40 m) are generally considered to be superyachts.

<i>R. Tucker Thompson</i>

R. Tucker Thompson is a gaff-rigged topsail schooner based in Opua, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. She is operated as a non-for profit charitable trust and owned by the R. Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust. The mission of the trust is “Learning for Life through the Sea”. The ship is used for tourism day sails in the Bay of Islands from October through April and for sail training activities between May and September. Youth sail training is particularly focused at youth from the Tai Tokerau Northland region of New Zealand. She is a member of the Australian Sail Training Association (AUSTA), and participated in the American Sail Training Association (ASTA) West Coast Tall Ships Challenge events in 2002 and 2005.

<i>Argo</i> (2006 ship)

S/Y Argo is a two-masted Marconi rigged schooner. She is owned and operated by Seamester Study Abroad Programs as one of three sail training vessels the company operates. Argo is certified and inspected by the British Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a Category “0” vessel, allowing her unrestricted operation in the world's oceans. She is registered in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

ICAP Leopard 3 is a 30-metre IRC maxi yacht owned and skippered by Helical Bar plc CEO Michael Slade, who has owned maxi yachts for over 22 years. She features a canting keel, water ballast and twin daggerboards amidships.

Wellenreiter is the largest yacht ever to be launched by Jongert. The ship was designed by André Hoek and built in 2003.

Douce France is a 138 feet luxury sailing catamaran design by VPLP design and built by Alumarine in Brittany (France). At its launch in 1998, she was the largest sailing cat ever built and won most innovative Sailing Yacht 1999 - Showboats Design Awards. It was built at Alu Marine also underwent a refit in 2009 and 2015. The exterior and interior design was done overall by Peteghem & Lauriot Prevost. The vessel is known for a panoramic window interior lounge, one of the areas along with the teak wood aft deck, upper level cockpit, and the interior cabins in the twin hulls.
