The Concordia Political Alliance (CPA) is a political party in Sint Maarten founded in 2010 by Jeffry Richardson, a one-time executive assistant to former Democratic Party commissioners Roy Marlin and Louie Laveist. [3] [4] At the last general elections before the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, 17 September 2010, the party won 1.0% of the popular vote and none of the 15 possible seats. [5] [6]

A political party is an organized group of people who have the same ideology, or who otherwise have the same political positions, and who field candidates for elections, in an attempt to get them elected and thereby implement the party's agenda.

The Christian Peoples Alliance, CPA is a Christian democratic political party in the United Kingdom. The party was founded in its present form in 1999, having grown out of a cross-party advocacy group called the Movement for Christian Democracy. The first leader of the party was Ram Gidoomal. Alan Craig took over from him in 2004 and resigned in 2012. He was replaced by Sidney Cordle who is the current leader.

The One St. Maarten People Party (OSPP) is a political party in Sint Maarten founded in 2013 by former Sint Maarten Patriotic Alliance finance commissioner Lenny Priest. At the 2014 general elections on 29 August, the party obtained 1.16% of the votes and failed to obtain a seat in parliament.

2015 United Kingdom general election in Scotland list of election results

The 2015 United Kingdom general election in Scotland was held on 7 May 2015 and all 59 seats were contested under the first-past-the-post electoral system. Unlike the 2010 general election, where no seats changed party, the Scottish National Party (SNP) won all but three seats in Scotland in an unprecedented landslide gaining a total of fifty-six seats and also become the first party in sixty years to win 50% of the Scottish vote. The Labour Party suffered its worst ever election defeat in Scotland, losing 40 of the 41 seats they were defending, including the seats of Scottish Labour Party leader Jim Murphy and the then Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander. The Liberal Democrats lost ten of the eleven seats they were defending with the then Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander and former leader Charles Kennedy losing their seats. The election also saw the worst performance by the Conservative Party, which received its lowest share of the vote since its creation in 1965, although it retained the one seat that it previously held. In all, 50 of the 59 seats changed party, 49 of them being won by first-time MPs.

Lloyd Josiah Richardson is a Sint Maarten politician of the United People's Party (UPP). He has been a member of Parliament since 10 October 2010, serving as President of Parliament from 1 December 2014 to 12 October 2015.

Franklin Antonio Meyers is a Sint Maarten businessman and United People's Party politician who serves as a Member of Parliament since 2014. He was Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications in the First Wescot-Williams cabinet from 2010 to 2012.
