Conner Weigman (born August 8, 2003) is an American football quarterback who plays for the Houston Cougars. He previously played for the Texas A&M Aggies.
Weigman grew up in Cypress, Texas, and attended Bridgeland High School, where he played baseball and football. [1] He became Bridgeland's starting quarterback during his sophomore season. [2] Weigman passed for 3,808 yards and 42 touchdowns against 11 interceptions in his junior season. [3] As a senior, Weigman passed for 2,588 yards and 29 touchdowns with six interceptions while also rushing for 754 yards and nine touchdowns. At the end of the season he was named the Offensive Player of the Year by the Houston Touchdown Club and the National High School Quarterback Of The Year by the National Quarterback Club [4]
Weigman was rated a five-star recruit and committed to play college football at Texas A&M after considering offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas. [5] [6] He was also considered one of the best baseball prospects in Texas and announced his intention to play for the Texas A&M Aggies baseball team as a shortstop. [7]
Weigman joined the Texas A&M Aggies as an early enrollee in January 2022. [8] He also withdrew his name from the 2022 Major League Baseball draft. [9] Weigman ultimately decided against playing baseball in order to participate in spring practices. [10] Weigman entered his true freshman season as Texas A&M's third-string quarterback with the intention of redshirting the year. [11] [12] Weigman made his first collegiate start in week 9 against no. 15 Ole Miss, finishing 28-of-44 for 338 yards and four touchdowns in the 28–31 loss. [13] He started Texas A&M's final four games and finished the season with 896 passing yards and eight touchdown passes. [14]
In 2023, Weigman was named the Aggies' starting quarterback entering his sophomore season after competing with Max Johnson during preseason training camp. [15] Weigman started the first four games until suffering a season-ending foot injury. [16]
On December 3, 2024, Weigman announced that he would enter the transfer portal. [17]
On December 11, 2024, Weigman announced that he would transfer to Houston. [18]

John James "Jimbo" Fisher Jr. is a former American college football coach who was most recently the head coach at Texas A&M from 2018 until 2023. Prior to that, he led Florida State to a BCS National Championship victory in 2014.
Stephen Richard McGee is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). Jerrod Terrel Johnson is an American professional football coach and former player who is the quarterbacks coach for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played quarterback at Texas A&M. Johnson was Texas A&M's starting quarterback from 2008 to 2010, finishing his collegiate career ranked first in school history with 8,011 passing yards and 8,888 yards total offense. He is currently second in school history in passing yards and third in total offense. Johnson was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and would play in the NFL for six seasons with the Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. Johnson's coaching career began in 2017; he held various assistant coaching roles on the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans.
