Connor Howe (born June 10, 2000) is a Canadian professional speed skater. [1]

He won the silver medal in the team pursuit event at the 2021 World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships. [2]

Career

2022 Winter Olympics

In January 2022, Howe secured a place in the Canadian Winter Olympics team for that year. [3] [4] [5] He came fifth in the 1500 metres speed skating event. [6]

His appearance is well known for his dreadlocks and for listening to reggae, which he says makes him skate faster.

Laurent Dubreuil is a Canadian speed skater. He competes primarily in the short distances of 500 m and 1000 m. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Single Distance Championships and a silver medal in the 1000m at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Kim Boutin is a Canadian short track speed skater. Boutin won silver in the 1,000 m and bronze in the 500 m and 1,500 m events at the 2018 Winter Olympics at Pyeonchang, Korea. She was the first Canadian female short track speed skater to win three individual Olympic medals in a single Olympics and the first Canadian woman to win an Olympic medal in the 1,500 m. As a result of her three medal performance she was named the flag bearer for Canada at the closing ceremonies for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
