Cordogan Clark & Associates (CCA) is an architecture, planning and engineering firm based in Illinois with offices in Chicago, Aurora, Illinois, and Lafayette, Indiana. The firm was founded in 1951 by Louis Cordogan. John Cordogan joined the firm in 1981 and in 1984, he and John Clark became founding partners of Cordogan, Clark & Associates. [1] In February 2016, it was announced that Cordogan Clark & Associates merged with Lafayette-based firm Keystone Architecture, Inc. [2]

Awards

Cordogan, Clark & Associates has been the recipient of a number of awards, including those from the American Institute of Architects, [12] [16] the Precast Concrete Institute [15] and Community Beautification Awards. [1] CCA has also won several national and international design competitions and has been recognized for several sustainable projects, including the Aurora Police Headquarters in Aurora, Illinois [21] and Devon Bank in Wheeling, Illinois, [12] which both received LEED Gold Certification. John Burgee is an American architect noted for his contributions to Postmodern architecture. He was a partner of Philip Johnson from 1967 to 1991, creating together the partnership firm Johnson/Burgee Architects. Their landmark collaborations included Pennzoil Place in Houston and the AT&T World Headquarters in New York. Burgee eased Johnson out of the firm in 1991, and when it subsequently went bankrupt, Burgee's design career was essentially over. Burgee is retired, and resides in California.

An Illinois Tollway oasis is a type of commercialized rest area sited over Interstate Highways that are part of the Illinois Tollway system in northern Illinois, United States. The four oases offer food and gasoline vendors and are found in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, DeKalb, and Belvidere. Although the oases date back to the original tollway construction in 1958, they were redeveloped in 2003–2005 by Wilton Partners, a private developer. The redevelopment of the oases has been the focal point of alleged political corruption. The four oases are administered by a court-appointed manager following default of Wilton Partners.

John W. Clark is an American architect and planner and a founding partner of the firm Cordogan Clark & Associates. Clark has been recognized for his architectural, planning, and sustainable design work for a series of projects.

Carol Ross Barney is an American architect and the founder and Design Principal of Ross Barney Architects. She is the 2023 winner of the AIA Gold Medal. She became the first woman to design a federal building when commissioned as architect for the Oklahoma City Federal Building, which replaced the bombed Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Ross Barney's other projects include the JRC Synagogue, James I Swenson Civil Engineering Building, the CTA Morgan Street Station, and the Chicago Riverwalk.
