Corey Joseph Collins (born October 10,2001) is an American professional baseball catcher and outfielder in the New York Mets organization.
Collins attended North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee,Georgia. As a junior,Collins hit .483 with 16 home runs,before committing to play college baseball at the University of Georgia. [1] [2]
As a senior,Collins hit .354 with 20 home runs,in addition to leading the NCAA in on-base percentage. [3] He was named a second-team All-American at the end of the season. [4]
Collins was selected in the sixth round,with the 173rd overall pick,by the New York Mets in the 2024 Major League Baseball draft. [5] [6]
