Cosmic (Czech : Kosmo) is a Czech Science fiction sitcom. It is about Czech flight to the Moon which was to be funded by money from the European Union. The money was tunnelled[ clarification needed ] but the flight must still happen due to impending fine.
It was broadcast in fall of 2016 on Czech Television. First three episodes were already shown on 25 and 30 July 2016 at the Summer Film School and during September at Bio Oko in Prague and the Scala cinema in Brno. It was also presented as part of the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary.
It was nominated for the Czech Lion in the Best Drama Series category. [1] [2]

Elkov–Kasper is a UCI Continental road bicycle racing team based in Czech Republic and participates on the UCI Europe Tour. The sponsors of the team are Elkov, an electrical company, and Kasper, a steel manufacturer. The team was one of the best cycling teams before the lifting of the Iron Curtain. The team became professional in 2000. The best known riders for the team were Alois Kaňkovský and Tomáš Bucháček. For the 2008 season the German sprinter André Schulze came from the Wiesenhof team and also Czech cyclist Ondřej Sosenka, a former World Hour Record holder, joined the team.
The Mayors and Independents is a liberal political party in the Czech Republic, focused on localism, regionalism and subsidiarity. Petr Fiala is a Czech politician and political scientist who has been the prime minister of the Czech Republic since November 2021 and leader of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) since 2014. Petr Kopfstein is a Czech aerobatic pilot, representing the Czech Republic in flying aerobatics in an Unlimited category, and most recently a racer in the Master Class category of the Red Bull Air Race. He is the first winner of the Red Bull Air Race Challenger Cup. After his victory of the whole Challenger Cup in 2014, there were rumors about him moving to Masters; it became a reality for the 2016 season. Péter Besenyei and Paul Bonhomme departed from the series.
Přístav is a Czech television programme which was first broadcast in 2015. In Czech přístav means 'port'. The programme was written by various writers and directed by Jana Rezková (2015–2017), Jaromír Polisenský (2015–2016) and Ján Novák (2015–2016). The series was nominated as Best Television Drama at the 2015 Czech Lion Awards. Actress Vanda Hybnerová's father, Boris Hybner, appeared alongside her in one of the episodes.
Medieval is a 2022 English-language Czech historical drama film directed by Petr Jákl. It is about the life of Jan Žižka, a Bohemian military commander who never lost a battle. The film is set prior to the Hussite Wars (1419–1434), when Žižka was young. It tells the story of how Žižka became a famous military commander. With a budget of KČ500 million, it is the most expensive Czech film ever made.
Martin Kupka is a Czech politician who has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) since 2017. He currently serves as Minister of Transport in the Cabinet of Petr Fiala and previously served as mayor of Líbeznice.
