Country Thunder is a music festival company that hosts several concerts in North America each year. They have operated festivals in Arizona since 1993, [1] in Wisconsin since 1996, in Saskatchewan since 2005, in Alberta since 2016, and in Florida since 2019. [2] Each festival offers entertainment on multiple stages. The main stage hosts national acts, with talent playing throughout the day. The side stage gives local artists opportunities to perform.

Florence, Arizona

Country Thunder Arizona is held on the Canyon Moon Ranch in Florence, Arizona. [3] The festival runs Thursday through Sunday, typically during the first week of April. Fans can purchase a single day pass or a weekend pass that allows them access to the festival for the entire weekend. The festival also offers reserved seating. [3]

Headliners in previous years have included Morgan Wallen, Eric Church, Chris Young, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, and Cole Swindell.

Twin Lakes, Wisconsin

Country Thunder Wisconsin is held in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. The event was awarded the "Festival of the Year" Academy of Country Music Award in 2015. [4]

The festival is typically run from Thursday through Sunday during the third weekend of July. In the past, performers like Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Toby Keith, and Dierks Bentley have appeared.

Craven, Saskatchewan

In 2005, Troy Vollhoffer, owner of parent company Premier Global Productions, took over Craven, Saskatchewan's Rock 'N The Valley festival and relaunched it as the Craven Country Jamboree — returning the event to its previous roots as a country music festival. [5] On October 27, 2016, it was announced that the event had been integrated into the Country Thunder brand as Country Thunder Saskatchewan. [6] [7]

Calgary, Alberta

In August 2016, Country Thunder launched Country Thunder Alberta in Calgary, Alberta, located in Prairie Winds Park. Previous headliners have included Big & Rich, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Toby Keith.

Kissimmee, Florida

In March 2019, Country Thunder launched the festival in Kissimmee, Florida, located in Osceola Heritage Park. [8] Previous headliners have included Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, and Luke Combs. [9]

Festival of the Year

Country Thunder Wisconsin 2015 and Country Thunder Arizona 2018 were named Festival of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. [10] [11]

After his experience as an artist in the UK, Copperman discovered his talent for writing and producing country music. He has written several No. 1 songs including notable hits like Billy Currington's "Don't It", Luke Bryan's "Strip It Down" and Keith Urban's "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16". Copperman has also produced for several artists including Keith Urban, Brett Eldredge, Dierks Bentley, Eli Young Band, Darius Rucker, and Jake Owen among others. Recently, Copperman's song "Woman, Amen" recorded by Dierks Bentley charted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Charts on June 11, 2018. Kenny Chesney's single "Get Along" was also co-penned by Copperman, adding to his list of over 30 total written and produced No. 1 country singles. Copperman continues to impact weekly Billboard country charts in collaboration with Sony Music Publishing in Nashville.

The Havelock Country Jamboree was a four-day country music camping festival held in the village of Havelock, Ontario. Called Canada's Largest Country Music and Camping Festival, the festival has a Thursday through Sunday schedule on the third weekend in August every year. For the 2019 version of the event, the Jamboree built twin stages, with each stage measuring 60 ft (18 m) wide by 40 ft (12 m) deep. The festival had been on-hold due to COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 and 2021. It was announced on the Jamboree website in June 2023 that the Havelock Jamboree was closing permanently.

Bayou Country Superfest is a country music festival that has recently been held Memorial Day weekend at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The 2019 festival returned to Baton Rouge for the 10th Anniversary event on May 25 and 26. Since debuting on May 29, 2010, Bayou Country Superfest has brought together some of the biggest stars in music for a local celebration that began on the campus of Louisiana State University. The Sounds of Summer Tour was the tenth headlining concert tour by American country music artist Dierks Bentley, in support of his seventh studio album Riser (2014). It began on June 6, 2015, in Raleigh, North Carolina and ended in Bonner Springs, Kansas on September 12 of that year. The tour traveled across North America.

The Award is based on individual musical performance on a solo Country single or album release, as well as the overall contribution to Country Music. This award was one of the original awards given at the first ceremony in 1967.

The following list shows the recipients for the Country Music Association Award for Single of the Year. While its sister category, Song of the Year recognizes the songwriters, Single of the Year is awarded to the artist. Starting in 1989 and 2016 respectively, the producer and mix engineer of the track also received an award. Rules state the track must have reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart, Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart, or Country Aircheck Chart for the first time during the eligibility period. If the single charted in the Top 10 on the above charts and was released prior to the eligibility period but achieved its highest chart position during the eligibility period, it is eligible.

The Country Music Association Awards is a major awards show in country music. Originally presented in 1988 as the Vocal Event of the Year Award, the Musical Event of the Year honor received its current name in 2004. The award recognizes a collaboration of two or more people, either or all of whom are known primarily as country artists, who don't regularly work together as part of a duo or group.
