Courtney Ian Oswald Ricketts (born 26 April 1965) is a former English cricketer. Ricketts was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Kennington,London.
Ricketts made his first-class debut for Sussex against Gloucestershire in the 1987 County Championship. He made two further first-class appearances for the county in that season,against Worcestershire and Hampshire. [1] In his three first-class matches,he took 5 wickets at an average of 50.60,with best figures of 2/40. [2] Ricketts made his List A debut for the county in the same season against Glamorgan in the Benson &Hedges Cup. He made five further List A appearances that season,the last of which came against Cumberland in the NatWest Trophy. [3] He took 3 wickets in his five List A matches,which came at an average of 50.66,with best figures of 1/25. [4] He left Sussex at the end of that season,proceeding to play Second XI cricket for Gloucestershire,Surrey and Essex,but he was unable to establish himself at either of these counties. [5]
James Andrew Tomlinson is an English former cricketer. A left-arm medium pace bowler,capable of producing swing at a brisk pace,Tomlinson first appeared in senior cricket for the Hampshire Cricket Board in List A cricket in the 2000 NatWest Trophy. He first appeared for Hampshire in first-class cricket in 2002,at this stage of career he had to work his cricket career around his studies at Cardiff University. In 2003 he was Hampshire's recipient of the NBC Denis Compton Award. His early career with Hampshire was beset by injury,which limited his appearances. By 2008,Tomlinson had established himself in the Hampshire team,mostly as a specialist first-class player. It was in this season that he became the first Hampshire bowler since Malcolm Marshall to end the season as the leading wicket taker in the County Championship,finishing with 67 wickets.
Danny Richard Briggs is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club,previously playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club and Sussex County Cricket Club. Briggs is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight and was educated on the island at Carisbrooke High School. Briggs is the first international player to be born on the Isle of Wight. Briggs made his debut for Hampshire County Cricket Club aged 18 in 2009,since his debut he has seen success in first-class and Twenty20 cricket. In 2011,he became the youngest English spin bowler to take 100 first-class wickets since Derek Underwood. He made his full international debut for England on 21 February 2012 against Pakistan in the fourth One Day International at the DSC Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
