Craig Green MBE (born 1986 [1] ) is a British fashion designer specialising in menswear. [2]
Following his BA studies, during which time he served an internship with Walter van Beirendonck and Henrik Vibskov, Green went on to do a master's degree under the late Professor Louise Wilson, OBE completing the Fashion course at Central Saint Martins. [2] [3]
For Autumn-Winter 2013, Green presented his first collection as part of a Topman/Fashion East initiative hosted by the British Fashion Council's London Collections: Men event. [2] His work was widely commended in the fashion press, although his debut collection was publicly mocked on national television by the event ambassador, David Gandy. [2]
Despite this, Green returned to Spring-Summer 2015 with his first solo catwalk presentation, which led to even wider recognition from influential retailers such as Comme des Garçons, who allowed Green to showcase his work in the window of their London store, Dover Street Market. [2] [3] Fashion photographer Nick Knight commented in 2015 that Green's work had opened new avenues for menswear designers by encouraging them to make statements and bolder choices. [3]
Green's work, whilst originally designed as menswear, is noted for its unisex and gender neutral qualities. [4] [5] After recognising that women wore his clothes too, the designer included female models in his catwalk shows. Green told i-D magazine in December 2015 that he felt that the rules regarding gendered clothing were "increasingly blurred," and that it felt like cause for celebration that his clothes could be worn by men and women alike. Craig Green won the British Fashion Award for Emerging Menswear Designer in 2014, and he went on to win British Designer of the Year Menswear in 2016, 2017, and 2018. [6] [7] [8] In 2014 and 2015 Craig Green was shortlisted for the LVMH Prize. Craig Green received £150,000 as the winner of the annual British Fashion Council / GQ Designer Menswear Fund in May 2016. In December 2015, two of Green's designs were selected by Gordon Richardson of TopMan to represent the year's leading trends in the Fashion Museum, Bath's Dress of the Year collection. [5] It was the first time since the award was established in 1963 that the selection had been exclusively menswear, although the two outfits were displayed on male and female mannequins to highlight their unisex qualities. In February 2016, Green collaborated with the Stockholm underwear brand Björn Borg to expand their range with athletic leisurewear. [10] In 2016, Green started his collaboration with Moncler, with two capsule collections for Autumn Winter 2017 and Spring Summer 2018. Their partnership extended to the new ongoing Moncler Genius project for Autumn Winter 2018 and Spring Summer 2019.
He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to fashion. [11]
Lee Alexander McQueen was a British fashion designer and couturier. He founded his own Alexander McQueen label in 1992, and was chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001. His achievements in fashion earned him four British Designer of the Year awards, as well as the Council of Fashion Designers of America International Designer of the Year award in 2003. McQueen died by suicide in 2010 at the age of 40, at his home in Mayfair, London, shortly after the death of his mother.

Richard James is a bespoke Savile Row tailors and contemporary menswear company. It was founded in 1992 by designer Richard James, a graduate of Brighton College of Art and a former buyer for the London boutique Browns, and his business partner Sean Dixon. The Design and Brand Director is Toby Lamb, a graduate of Central Saint Martins. Richard James has won both the British Fashion Council's Menswear Designer of the Year and Bespoke Designer of the Year awards.
Troy Costa is an Indian fashion designer based in Mumbai who owns the Troy Costa menswear label. Known as the man who suits up India's rich and powerful, Troy launched his bespoke menswear fashion label 'Troy Costa Designs' in 2008 after the runaway success of his shows at the 'Dubai Fashion Week' and the 'Lakme Fashion Week'. His signature style of sharp lines and understated chic has propelled him to become couturier to some of the best-known names in India such as film stars Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan Pataudi and in 2014 he was hired to design a new look for Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi
Fashion East is a non-profit designer support and showcasing scheme, a project established by the Old Truman Brewery and Lulu Kennedy MBE in 2000. Designers can apply for support across three different programmes. Each programme offers fashion week showcasing opportunities, business mentoring & financial sponsorship for menswear and womenswear designers. Designers are selected by Lulu Kennedy and a panel of industry people.
Alessandro Michele is an Italian fashion designer and creative director of Valentino. He grew to international recognition as the creative director of Gucci, the Italian fashion luxury house where he worked from 2002 to 2022. Known for his maximalist designs, Alessandro Michele revived Gucci's popularity, most notably with a Geek-Chic aesthetic. He had been responsible for all of Gucci's collections and global brand image from January 2015 until he stepped down from the role in November 2022.
JW Anderson is a UK fashion label, founded by Jonathan Anderson. Anderson originally from Magherafelt in Northern Ireland established JW Anderson in 2008 and subsequently launched his fashion house in London. The brand initially focused on menswear, before moving into womenswear in 2010. From 2012 onwards, the brand and its designer have collaborated with a number of retail fashion brands, most notably Topshop, Versace, and Uniqlo, with LVMH acquiring a minority stake in the brand in 2013.

Grace Wales Bonner is an English fashion designer, whose work "proposes a distinct notion of cultural luxury that infuses European heritage with an Afro Atlantic spirit". Her designs are characterized by a blend of sportswear and tailoring, as well as her interest in infusing everyday wardrobe essentials with a refined elegance. In 2014, she founded the London-based label Wales Bonner, originally specializing in menswear.
Martine Rose is a British-Jamaican menswear designer and founder of the Martine Rose label. Her designs draw inspiration from her experiences and interest in rave, hip-hop and punk subcultures.
Charles Jeffrey is a Scottish fashion designer known for his punk-inspired, gender-fluid designs influenced by his Scottish heritage and London's queer club scene. Jeffrey has been described as "speaking to young London the way Alexander McQueen spoke to his generation," and by Vogue as "the upholder of all that is human, creative and cheerful about British fashion." Jeffrey launched his label Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY in 2015, after graduating from Central St Martins. He has been nominated for and won numerous industry awards. Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY has been worn by figures as wide-ranging as Harry Styles, Tilda Swinton, Bimini Bon Boulash, and K-pop star J-Hope of BTS.
