Catherine Wheel were an English alternative rock band from Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The band was active from 1990 to 2000, releasing five full-length albums in their career, embarking on many lengthy tours and experiencing fluctuating levels of commercial success.
"We Are the Champions" is a song by the British rock band Queen, released from the band's sixth album News of the World (1977). Written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, it remains among rock's most recognisable anthems. The song was a worldwide success, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart, number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, number three in Canada and the top ten in many other countries. In 2009 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and was voted the world's favourite song in a 2005 Sony Ericsson world music poll. Clan of Xymox, also known as simply Xymox, are a Dutch rock band formed in 1981 best known as pioneers of darkwave music. Clan of Xymox featured a trio of singers and songwriters – Ronny Moorings, Anka Wolbert, and Pieter Nooten – and gained success in the 1980s, releasing their first two albums on 4AD, before releasing their third and fourth albums on Wing Records and scoring a hit single in the United States. Their 1980s releases included synthpop/electronic dance music. The band is still active, continuing to tour and release records with Moorings as the sole remaining original songwriter and singer.

The song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 44 on 15 September 2003, where it stayed for one week. The band were happy with its chart performance, commenting "we couldn't believe we were in the UK top 50."
"High" is the debut single of British singer James Blunt and Ricky Ross for Blunt's debut album Back to Bedlam. The song was produced by Tom Rothrock and Jimmy Hogarth and received a mixed reception from music critics. It was released in the autumn of 2004 and failed to make an impact on the United Kingdom singles chart, peaking well outside the top 75. Following the success of Blunt's second single "You're Beautiful", "High" was re-released in the autumn of 2005, and became a top 20 hit worldwide, charting at number three in Italy and at number 16 in Britain.

The album is named after the East Coast rail network's Deltic-class locomotives that were used in the 1960s and 1970s. Like Cats and Dogs is a compilation album by English alternative rock band Catherine Wheel, released 9 September 1996 by Fontana Records in the UK and Mercury Records in the US. The album includes an alternate version of "Heal" from Happy Days, several outtakes and B-sides spanning the band's career, and cover versions of songs originally by Pink Floyd and Rush. The Rush song "Spirit of Radio" had been recorded earlier in the year for a CD entitled "Spirit of the edge Vol. 2" which was put out by Toronto radio station CFNY for which the song had originally been written.

Wheeler and Gavurin were inspired to write the song after several of their friends joined a dating service, and the lyrics reflect on how the pursuit of perfect romantic relationships can become taxing.
