Creston is a town in Lincoln County, Washington, United States. The population was 236 at the 2010 census.
Creston is a town of 5,351 people in the Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia, Canada on the unceded ancestral territory of the Kutenai First Nation. Creston is roughly equidistant between Cranbrook and Castlegar along the Crowsnest Highway. The town is located approximately 10 km (6 mi) north of the United States border at Porthill, Idaho, with many businesses in Creston accepting American currency and businesses in Porthill accepting Canadian currency and selling gasoline in litres. Creston is one of the few towns in British Columbia that does not observe daylight saving time, remaining on Mountain Standard Time year round.
Creston School District is the K-12 school district in the Eastern Washington farming community of Creston, Washington. Due to the small size of the town, the elementary and junior high are in the same building; and the Creston Elementary School has combined classrooms: K, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th. An academic co-op was started in 2016 between Creston School District and the nearby Wilbur School District, allowing all Creston High School students to attend Wilbur-Creston High School in Wilbur and all Wilbur Junior High students to attend Wilbur-Creston Junior High in Creston. Even before the academic co-op, the two school districts enjoyed a sports co-op that has been in place since 1985.
The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) is a Junior "B" Ice Hockey league in British Columbia, Canada; and Washington, United States sanctioned by Hockey Canada. The winner of the Teck Cup competes with the champions of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) for the Cyclone Taylor Cup, the British Columbia Provincial Title. The winner of the Cyclone Taylor Cup moves on to compete for the Western Canada "B" Crown, the Keystone Cup.

It is the only high school in the Norwayne Local School District, which also consists of a middle school in Creston, and one elementary school in Creston. Their mascot is the Bobcat. The name 'Norwayne' is derived from its location in northern Wayne County. The district was approved for consolidation in 1950 by merging the Burbank, Creston, and Milton Local (Sterling) school districts together, and the school opened in the fall of 1953.

At its peak, it housed around one thousand students and over fifty teachers making the teacher to student ratio about 1:20. The school mascot was the polar bear. The colors were blue and gold.
The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area is a Canadian river delta wetland and Wildlife Management Area near Creston in south-central British Columbia, on the floodplain of the Kootenay River at the south end of Kootenay Lake. Predominantly marshland, it was classified as a wetland of international importance on February 21, 1994, and is also a globally significant Important Bird Area. It is one of the "few significant agricultural areas of the province", and is in the Montane Cordillera. It stretches north along Kootenay Lake for approximately 20 km, and south to the United States border. It is both the only breeding site of the Forster's tern and the only site with leopard frogs in the province, as well as one of the few Canadian habitats for the Coeur D'Alene salamander. Creston Valley provides staging and nesting areas for migratory birds on the Pacific Flyway.
