Crime 101 is an upcoming crime film directed by Bart Layton. It is an adaptation of the Don Winslow novella Crime 101 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry and Monica Barbaro.
The film is developed by the British companies Raw, Working Title Films, and The Story Factory and directed by Bart Layton for Amazon MGM Studios. Layton adapted the Don Winslow novella with contributions from Peter Straughan. Producers include Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan, Dimitri Doganis, Derrin Schlesinger, Shane Salerno and Layton. Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Barry Keoghan star, with Hemsworth also producing alongside Ben Grayson. [1] [2] Amazon won a bidding war for the rights to the novella in 2023, with Pedro Pascal originally in talks to star alongside Hemsworth before dropping out due to scheduling conflicts. [3] In October, Halle Berry, Corey Hawkins and Monica Barbaro joined the cast in undisclosed roles. [4] [5] [6] Principal photography began in October 2024, in Los Angeles.
