Crispin Lipscomb (born August 7, 1979 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian snowboarder, specializing in the halfpipe event. [1]
Lipscomb made his World Cup debut in December 2002 at Whistler, and made his first podium later that season, with a bronze at Serre Chevalier. His first World Cup victory came in 2006, at Furano. [2]
Lipscomb has claimed 5 World Cup medals over his career, including two victories, and his best season came in 2005, when he placed 5th overall in the halfpipe standings. He has competed at three FIS Snowboarding World Championships, with his best finish a 6th in 2007. [2]
Lipscomb competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics, in the halfpipe. He was the only Canadian halfpiper to advance to a final, after finishing 6th in the second qualifying round. His best run in the final scored 33.5 points, enough for 11th place. [3]
In January 2010, Lipscomb announced his intention to move on from competing at the World Cup level, citing the death of a close friend as changing his outlook on the sport. [4]

Shaun Roger White is an American professional snowboarder, skateboarder and musician. He is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. He holds the record for the most X-Games gold medals and most Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder, and has won 10 ESPY Awards.
Torah Jane Bright is an Australian professional snowboarder. She is Australia's most successful Winter Olympian, former Olympic gold and silver medalist, two time X Games gold medalist, three time US Open winner, two time Global Open Champion, three time World Superpipe Champion, former TTR World Champion and recipient of the Best Female Action Sports Athlete at the ESPY awards. In 2014 Bright became the first Olympic athlete to qualify for all three snowboarding disciplines; halfpipe, slopestyle and boarder-cross.
Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder. She is an Olympic champion, having won the gold medal in halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy and silver at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. She also won bronze at the 2005 FIS World Championships at Whistler, British Columbia, and has six World Cup victories in her career. In January 2010, Teter was named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She won the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the Vancouver Games. Teter came in fourth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Dominique Maltais is a Canadian snowboarder, specialising in snowboard cross. She is a two-time Olympic medallist, winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Torino Games and a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Games. She also competed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, where she failed to reach the final. At the FIS Snowboarding World Championships, she won a bronze medal in 2011 and a silver medal in 2013. She is the 2012 Winter X Games champion, and has won the Crystal Globe as the overall FIS World Cup champion in snowboard cross five times, in 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Maëlle Danica Ricker is a Canadian retired snowboarder, who specialised in snowboard cross. She won an Olympic gold medal in the snowboard cross event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, to become the first Canadian woman to win a gold medal on home soil at the Olympics. She is also the 2013 World Champion and two-time Winter X Games Champion.
Michael Michalchuk is a Canadian professional snowboarder based in Pemberton, British Columbia. Michalchuk has competed in two Winter Olympic Games in 1998 and 2002, along with several world cups but has been often restricted by injury. He is also notable for being one of the first known snowboarders to complete a successful double back flip in a halfpipe competition, has several snowboarding moves named after him and has at times been regarded as arguably the most spectacular, daring half-pipe rider in Pemberton.
Zoe Gillings-Brier is a Manx snowboarder. She has won seven medals at the FIS World Cup. Gillings has competed at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, and is scheduled to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The men's halfpipe competition of the 2018 Winter Olympics was held from 13 to 14 February 2018 at the Bogwang Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The event was won by Shaun White, who previously won this event in 2006 and 2010. Ayumu Hirano, the 2014 silver medalist, took silver. Scott James became the bronze medalist. For James, this is the first Olympic medal, and this was also the second medal for Australia at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
