Tapio Huuska (born 14 July 1975), known by his stage name Cristal Snow, is a Finnish musician, [1] television presenter, and a drag artist. [2] He was one of the candidates to represent Finland in Eurovision Song Contest 2008. In 2016, he participated again in the preselection for Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Love Is Blind" and was placed 6th. [3]
In March 2018, Snow started hosting the Finnish television game show Kymppitonni . [4]
Huuska was born in Naantali. When he was seven years old, his mother died and he moved with his father to Kankaanpää where he grew up. Huuska has two half-siblings from his father's second marriage, and the family also included the stepmother's two children. After Huuska graduated from an upper secondary school, he moved to the United States. He lived in New York for seven years and studied theatre at the City College of New York. During his years in New York, Huuska performed as a drag queen in nightclubs under the name Cristal Snow. [5]

Teräsbetoni is a Finnish heavy/power metal band. Their first album, Metallitotuus, was released in 2005 and has so far sold more than 32,000 copies. Teräsbetoni has been strongly influenced by bands such as Manowar. The direct translation of the band's name is "steel concrete", Finnish for "reinforced concrete".

Geir Rönning is a Norwegian-Finnish professional singer-songwriter from Ålesund. He later moved to the capital Oslo in the 1980s, and later on to Stockholm, Sweden, where he found opportunity to start a musical career. He later moved to Finland, which he represented in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. He returned to Norway in 2006 to try unsuccessfully to represent Norway in Eurovision through a joint song with Jorun Erdal. In 2010, he had a comeback trying to represent this time Finland in Eurovision. The same year he also took part in the Swedish Idol 2010, coming seventh. Rönning has also performed multiple times together with well-known Swedish pianist Robert Wells and his international Rhapsody in Rock concept. Rönnings lives in Kauniainen, Finland.
Sampsa Astala,, known by stage names Stala and Kita, is the lead singer of the Finnish glam rock band Stala & SO. and the former and original drummer for the metal band Lordi.
Päivi Paunu was a Finnish singer, born in Helsinki. Paunu and Kim Floor performed in the 1972 Eurovision contest in the United Kingdom with the song "Muistathan".
"Secret Combination" is a song by Greek-American singer Kalomira. Described as an American production of "perky pop" and R&B, the track was composed by Poseidonas Giannopoulos with lyrics by Konstantinos Pantzis. It was released on 26 February 2008 by Heaven Music and served as the first single released from Kalomira's fourth studio album, Secret Combination: The Album. The song was the Greek entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, held in Belgrade, where it placed third behind Russia and Ukraine.

The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final Euroviisut 2010 in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. 15 entries were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of three semi-finals and a final, taking place in January 2010. Ten entries ultimately competed in the final on 30 January where votes from the public selected "Työlki ellää" performed by Kuunkuiskaajat as the winner.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is an annual music contest organised by the Finnish public broadcaster Yle. It made its debut in 2012 as the Finnish selection format for the Eurovision Song Contest, replacing the previous Finnish Eurovision selection Suomen euroviisukarsinta which had been held since 1961.

Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät was a Finnish punk rock band, formed in 2009 in a charity workshop for adults with developmental disabilities. They are the main focus of the 2012 Finnish documentary film The Punk Syndrome. In 2015, they qualified for the finals of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, which they later won; they represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 but got knocked out in the semi-final. The group disbanded in December 2016 when guitarist Pertti Kurikka turned 60 years old and retired from playing punk rock.
