The Croatian Water Polo Federation (HVS) (Croatian : Hrvatski vaterpolski savez) is the governing body of water polo in Croatia. It is based in Zagreb.

It also organizes the Croatian Cup of Water Polo as well as the Croatian national water polo team and the Croatian national junior water polo team.

Water polo first came to Croatia in 1908. The HVS was formed at May 21, 1971 in Split.

In 2004 Perica Bukić was elected as president of the federation.

Yugoslavia men's national water polo team was the national water polo team that represented the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (1920–1929), the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1929–1941), the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia (1946–1963), the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1963–1992). They were one of strongest waterpolo teams in history of sport, having won 7 Olympic, 4 World Championship, 5 World Cup and 12 European Championship medals.

Filip Filipović (water polo) water polo player

Filip Filipović is a Serbian water polo player. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a gold medal in 2016. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2003, 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2016. He was named Most Valuable Player at the 2011 World Championships. He was also voted as the male water polo "Athlete of the Year" in 2011 and 2014 by the FINA magazine. At the club level he plays for Pro Recco in Italy and won the 2010 LEN Euroleague and the LEN Supercup with them.

Duško Pijetlović water polo player

Duško Pijetlović is a Serbian water polo center forward. He was a member of the Serbian teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a gold medal in 2016. He held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2016. Pijetlović won three consecutive Euroleague titles with three teams: in 2011 with Partizan in 2012 with Pro Recco and in 2013 with Crvena Zvezda.

Andrija Prlainović water polo player

Andrija Prlainović is a Serbian water polo player. He won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a gold medal in 2016. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2016. Prlainović was born in Dubrovnik, Croatia and raised in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, where he came up through the PVK Jadran youth system. In 2011, he won the LEN Euroleague with VK Partizan and in 2013 with Red Star Belgrade, where he was one of the best scorers.

Damir Glavan is a water polo player from Croatia, who was a member of the national team that won the silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.

The LEN Euroleague2010/11 was the highest-level competition in men's European club water polo. It involved the champions and other top teams from European national leagues and ran from September 2010 to May 2011. The Final Four took place on 3–4 June at Foro Italico, Rome.

Regional Water Polo League Professional water polo league

The Regional Water Polo League, commonly known as the Regional League or Adriatic League, is a regional water polo league in Southeast Europe. Originally, the league featured clubs from Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia. In later years, clubs from Serbia joined the league and in one season club from Italy participated in the league.

Vjekoslav Kobešćak is a Croatian former water polo player. He competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics, in the 2000 Summer Olympics, and in the 2004 Summer Olympics for the Croatian national team. He is the head coach of VK Jug.

The 2014–15 Adriatic League was the 7th season of the Adriatic Water Polo League, with 15 teams from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Slovenia participating in it.

Zlatko Šimenc Croatian water polo player

Zlatko Šimenc is a retired Croatian water polo player of Slovenian origin. He was part of the Yugoslav teams that won a silver medal at the 1964 Olympics and placed fourth in 1960. He won three more medals at the European championships in 1958–1966.

Andrija Komadina is a Croatian former professional water polo player. He was a member of the Croatia men's national water polo team, played as a defender. He was a part of the Croatian team that won the fourth place at the 2005 World Championship and the fourth plaće at the 2006 World Cup. On club level, he played most notably for VK Šibenik, HAVK Mladost, VK Jug Dubrovnik and VK Solaris in Croatia, as well as for Olympiacos in Greece. As a member of Jug Dubrovnik, he won the 2005–06 LEN Euroleague and as a member of Olympiacos from 2006 to 2011 he won 5 Greek Championships (2007–2011), 5 Greek Cups (2007–2011) and the fourth place in the Final Four of the 2006–07 LEN Euroleague.He is currently the president of VK Vodice. He is 6 ft 5 in tall and weighs 240 lb.

The Croatia women's national water polo team represents Croatia in international women's water polo competitions and friendly matches. The team is controlled by the Croatian Water Polo Federation.

The 2016 LEN Super Cup was the 35th edition of the annual trophy organised by LEN and contested by the reigning champions of the two European competitions for men's water polo clubs. The match took place between Croatian side VK Jug and Italian side AN Brescia at the Gruž City Pool in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 14 December 2016.
