Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School is a secondary school teaching grades 9-12 in Brandon, Manitoba. The school opened in September 1974.
Russell Stanley Jackson is a former professional Canadian football player. Jackson spent his entire 12-year professional football career with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a member of the Order of Canada, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, and has been described as the best Canadian-born quarterback to play in the CFL. In 2006, Jackson was voted one of the CFL's Top 50 players (#8) of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN, the highest-ranked Canadian-born player on the list.
The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. The club competes in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member of the league's West Division and plays their home games at Commonwealth Stadium. The Elks were founded in 1949 as the Edmonton Eskimos and have won the Grey Cup championship fourteen times, most recently in 2015 and the most of any CFL club based in Western Canada. The team has a rivalry with the Calgary Stampeders. The team discontinued using the Eskimos name in 2020, with the new name Elks formally announced on June 1, 2021.

Raymond Elgaard is a former Canadian Football League (CFL) slotback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1983 through 1996, including winning the 77th Grey Cup in 1989. A big man, he was noted for his reliability as a receiver and his toughness on the field. He retired as the all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards in the Canadian Football League.
The CFL draft is an annual sports draft in which the teams of the Canadian Football League (CFL) select eligible Canadian/non-import players, typically from the ranks of U Sports football or NCAA college football. Member clubs make selections based on the reverse order of the previous year's standings, with the team with the worst record being awarded the first selection, the Grey Cup runner-up getting the second-to-last selection and the Grey Cup champion selecting last. The draft is held once every year, approximately six weeks prior to the start of the upcoming season.
Al "Dirt" Wilson is a Canadian former professional football player for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Wilson spent his entire 15-year career with the Lions as an offensive lineman. Wilson played American college football at Montana State University. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, the B.C. Lions Wall of Fame, and has a street named in his honor, "Al Wilson Grove," in his hometown of Duncan. Wilson's #52 jersey is one of eight numbers retired by the B.C. Lions. In 2003, Wilson was voted a member of the B.C. Lions All-Time Dream Team as part of the club's 50th anniversary celebration. In 2006, Wilson was voted to the Honour Roll of the CFL's top 50 players of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.

John Blain is a former professional Canadian football player with the Canadian Football League (CFL)'s the BC Lions. He attended Carson Graham Secondary School, where he joined the rugby and football team. After playing college football at San Jose State University, Blain spent his entire 11-year CFL career as an offensive lineman. He was named CFL All-Star in 1983, 1984 and 1985, and was a part of the Lions Grey Cup victory in 1985.

The 2010 CFL season is the 57th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it is the 53rd Canadian Football League season. Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton hosted the 98th Grey Cup on November 28 when the Montreal Alouettes became the first team to repeat as Grey Cup Champions in 13 years, defeating the Saskatchewan Roughriders, 21–18. The league announced on its Twitter page on January 29, 2010, that the season would start on July 1, 2010. As of 2021 this is the most recent CFL regular season to start in July.
Timothy Wayne Maypray II was an American professional gridiron football wide receiver. He most recently played for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League. Prior to playing for Ottawa, he was with the Montreal Alouettes, also of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Maypray returned kicks for the Alouettes during the 2010 season. During his CFL debut against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Maypray returned a missed field goal 125 yards for a touchdown.

Tajh Khiry Boyd is an American football coach and former quarterback who currently is an offensive assistant for the Clemson Tigers. He played college football at Clemson, where he was the starting quarterback from 2011 to 2013. He earned first-team All-American honors in 2012. He was selected by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft.
Matt Norman is a former Canadian football offensive lineman for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was selected 22nd overall by the Lions in the 2012 CFL Draft. After the 2011 CIS season, he was ranked as the tenth best player in the Canadian Football League’s Amateur Scouting Bureau rankings for players eligible in the 2012 CFL Draft, and fifth by players in Canadian Interuniversity Sport. He played CIS football with the Western Ontario Mustangs. He also took a year away from football in 2012–2013 to get his teaching degree and was a student teacher at H.B. Beal Secondary School, where he was loved by many of his students. He retired from football in June 2016.
