CrunchLabs LLC is an educational technology company founded by American YouTuber and engineer Mark Rober in 2022. They create monthly educational build-box kits for children. They also run Space Selfie.

History

CrunchLabs LLC was co-founded in 2022 [2] by Mark Rober [3] along with Jim E Lee, President and Chief Operating Officer [4] to create STEM learning kits for kids [5] .

In April 2024, CrunchLabs launched Hack Pack [6] , a coding and robotics product for teens and adults.

In November 2024, CrunchLabs announced Space Selfie, a service in which a satellite will display an user-uploaded photo, and a photo of the satellite will be taken over a specified location and sent to the user. The service is free to CrunchLabs subscribers. The satellite was launched from the Vandenberg Space Force Base, California on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on January 14, 2025. [7] [8]

CrunchLabs partnered with Chess.com in 2024 for the CrunchLabs Masters leg of the Champions Chess Tour 2024. It also unveiled the RoberBot, a bot created by Rober where players can learn to improve their chess skills. [9] In 2025, it was announced that CrunchLabs would be launching in India. [10] Also in May 2025, a global licensing deal between CrunchLabs and Australian-owned toy company Moose Toys was announced, [11] under the direction of Rachele Harmuth [12] , Chief Product Officer. The same year it hired former Executive Vice-President of Content & Digital Strategy at Lionsgate Alternative Scott Lewers as its chief content officer (CCO). [13] Also in June 2025, CrunchLabs began its partnership with children's YouTube franchise Toys and Colors, creating series across their YouTube channels. [14]

CrunchLabs is set to produce an upcoming Netflix competition show along with Jimmy Kimmel to be hosted by Rober in 2026. [15]
