Crydamoure (a variation of the French phrase cri d'amour or "cry of love" in English) was a French house record label owned by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one former half of the duo Daft Punk, and Eric Chedeville.
The label was founded in 1997, with their first single "Holiday on Ice / Santa Claus" being the first release by de Homem-Christo and his label co-owner Eric Chedeville (under the guise of Le Knight Club). [1] Crydamoure was one of the first French house labels to incorporate band and guitar influences into its production.[ citation needed ] The label was left defunct in 2003, and shut down. [1]
In 2015, Crydamoure was revived after Le Knight Club released a single named "The Fight", made for the Algerian film Gates of the Sun. Le Knight Club's involvement in the revival of the label is uncertain. [2]
The launch of Crydamoure was a chance for de Homem-Christo to embark on a sound different from Daft Punk and also a chance to bring budding new producers such as Romain Séo (Raw Man) and Paul de Homem-Christo (Play Paul; brother of Guy-Manuel) into the limelight. In regards to, Crydamoure, Homem-Christo stated:
Myself and Thomas have the same tastes in music. When I make records for Crydamoure it's a different style than what may end up as Daft Punk music. I know what Thomas likes, and he knows what I like. Crydamoure is not so production oriented, even if it's not too far from Daft Punk. The Daft Punk material is more orchestrated and slightly different. I may be working on a sample for Crydamoure, and maybe no one else can hear the difference, but we know. It's very precise. [3]
Daft Punk was a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. As part of Discovery, the song appears in the film Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, and the section of the film in which the song appears serves as its music video. The track uses Edwards' distinctive "cut-up" production style, incorporating over 20 uncredited samples from various soft rock and folk music songs. Daft Punk first successfully convinced Edwards to collaborate with them after the release of Homework (1997), meeting for two studio sessions to record and build the track. The song achieved commercial success, reaching the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in 2004. Two remixes by Cosmo Vitelli and Demon were made and included in Daft Punk's 2003 remix album Daft Club. Most of the samples remained unknown, being a subject of a search that continued until 2023, when fans used AI tools to uncover the remaining unknown samples.
Darlin' was a French rock band formed in 1992 by Laurent Brancowitz, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The group released their songs on Stereolab's Duophonic record label. Members of the band went on to successful groups Daft Punk and Phoenix.

"Contact" is a song by French electronic music duo Daft Punk. It is the thirteenth and final track from the duo's fourth studio album Random Access Memories, released on 17 May 2013. The track was written and produced by the duo, with additional writing and co-production by DJ Falcon. Daryl Braithwaite, Tony Mitchell, and Garth Porter are also credited as writers due to the song containing a sample of "We Ride Tonight" by Australian rock band the Sherbs. The song includes audio from the Apollo 17 mission, courtesy of NASA and Captain Eugene Cernan. Due to digital downloads of Random Access Memories, the song charted at number 46 on the French Singles Chart and at number 24 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
