Currency Nagar is a 2023 Telugu anthology thriller film[ citation needed ] that delves into the complexities of human desires [1] and the entwined nature of individuals with money. The film is produced by Mukkamala Apparao and Koduru Gopala Krishna under the Unnati Arts banner, with direction by Vennela Kumar Pothepalli. Currency Nagar [2] began with a crowdfunding initiative.[ citation needed ] Set around the theme of money, eight short stories were selected, with four forming the foundation of the film.[ citation needed ]

The film, shot against the backdrop of Vijayawada, featured three separate schedules in Penumaka, Vijayawada, Krishna Lanka, and Nuziveedu, involving a cast of 48 artists.[ citation needed ]

Namburi Paripurna was a Telugu writer who published short stories, novels and essays for over 50 years. Her Telugu autobiography "Velugu Daarulalo". was published in 2017. Namburi Paripurna died on 26 January 2024 at the age of 93.
