Curse the Darkness is the third full-length album by California rock band Viva Death. The album was released in 2010 on Functional Equivalent Recordings. [1]
The Raveonettes are a Danish indie rock duo, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner on guitar, instruments and vocals, and Sharin Foo on bass, guitar and vocals. Their music is characterized by close two-part vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers coupled with hard-edged electric guitar overlaid with liberal doses of noise. Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of 1950s and 1960s rock with intense electric instrumentation, driving beats, and often dark lyrical content, similar to another of the band's influences, The Velvet Underground.

Play Me Backwards is a 1992 album by Joan Baez. In addition to her own work, she included songs by Mary Chapin Carpenter and Janis Ian among others. The album marked the first time Baez worked with producers Kenny Greenberg and Wally Wilson, with whom she would continue to work throughout most of the 1990s. The Promise is a studio album by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released November 16, 2010 on Columbia Records. The album is a collection of previously unreleased songs which were recorded during the Darkness on the Edge of Town sessions in 1977–1978, with some vocals and additional instrumentation overdubs recorded in 2010. It was released in 2CD and 3LP formats. The album is also available as part of the box set The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story. The two-CD version of the release entered the UK Albums Chart at number 7. It had been in production for many years and was originally scheduled to be released for the 30th anniversary in 2008. The Promise debuted at #16 on the Billboard 200, while the box set, The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story, debuted at #27.
Ragged Kingdom is a 2011 album by June Tabor and Oysterband. Tabor and Oysterband had collaborated previously on the 1990 album Freedom and Rain. The majority of the tracks are interpretations of traditional folk songs but also includes covers of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart", Bob Dylan's "Seven Curses" PJ Harvey's "That Was My Veil" and the Dan Penn & Chips Moman soul standard "Dark End of the Street".
