Prong is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1986. The band is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Tommy Victor, Prong's sole constant member. To date, they have released 12 studio albums, one live album, four EPs, one DVD and one remix album.

Initially, they performed as a trio but later also sometimes appeared as a quartet, with either two drummers or two bassists. Since 1984, vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover have been constant members.

The Waterboys are a British-Irish folk rock band formed in London in 1983 by Scottish musician and songwriter Mike Scott. The band's membership, past and present, has been composed mainly of musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. Mike Scott has remained the only constant member throughout the band's career. They have explored a number of different styles, but their music is mainly a mix of folk music with rock and roll. They dissolved in 1993 when Scott departed to pursue a solo career. The group reformed in 2000, and continue to release albums and to tour worldwide. Scott emphasises a continuity between the Waterboys and his solo work, saying that "To me there's no difference between Mike Scott and the Waterboys; they both mean the same thing. They mean myself and whoever are my current travelling musical companions."

The album contains more honed and intense screaming from frontman Stace McLaren and the tracks on it mostly contains lyrics about heroic fantasy and playing heavy metal. An exception to this might be "Tear Me to Pieces", with lyrics penned by McLaren about knife fighting. Malicious Intent is known for containing incredibly loud drum rides and overall poor production. The album itself is an overall turning point for Razor and shows them going from traditional heavy metal and speeding up to a more thrash metal-oriented sound.
Open Hostility is the seventh studio album by Canadian speed/thrash metal band Razor, released in 1991 by Fringe Product. Drummer Rob Mills was unable to participate on the album due to injuries sustained in an accident, so his parts were performed by guitarist Dave Carlo using a drum machine. Mills later returned for the filming of the "Sucker for Punishment" music video. Open Hostility is dedicated to the memory of Ray “Black Metal” Wallace.
The Pagans were an American punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, United States, that was originally active from 1977 to 1979. They reformed several times, from 1982 to 1983, from 1986 to 1989 and again from 2014 to 2017. Along with fellow Cleveland band The Dead Boys, the Pagans were part of the first wave of American punk music, and were also part of the second wave of Cleveland proto-punk and post-punk bands such as Pere Ubu.
